Slight accident, folks, am in traction :-{
Don't they have any meat and potatos in this hospital? @:-{
All I got was a bowl of soup... Water is dangerous for your health...
Jill, the Greek head-nurse, (we all call her Gramma Maria) makes
this great egg-lemon sauce. Here's the recipie she gave me:
Avgolemono Sauce
1 cup of Chicken Stock
2 Eggs
Juice from 1 Lemon
Water, about 2 tb
Roux made with 2 tb butter and 2 tb flour
Heat up the chicken stock, thicken with the roux. Whip the eggs,
lemon juice and water together until frothy. Add to the stock, slowly
but do not boil (eggs will curdle). Add some salt and pepper.
I wish I could have some of your delicious Garlic Lamb Chops right now
with Gramma Maria's Egg Lemon Sauce. I hope you clipped this recipie.

Quoting Karen Harddrive to J. Horner
KH>Ok, guy, I give up. Who or what is Nam Yuey and Avgovolemona?
She asked me first! She asked me first!
Nam Yuey is fermented tofu. It's a Chinese condiment, available at Chinese
grocery stores, comes packed in liquid, is cut in 1 inch cubes, looks
golden brownish. Tastes really good in 'jook' (Chinese porridge) with
some dried Chinese duck liver sausage! A must-eat! :)
Here's a mnemonic to help you remember the spelling:
N - Noble
A - And
M - Magnificent!
Y - You'll
U - Undoubtedly
E - Enjoy!
Y - Yummy!
Karen, that stuff you had was 'jook' and those brown things are NAM YUEY!
To answer your other question... I got this from my girlfriend's
hairdresser's brother-in-law's grandmother...
Avgolemono Sauce
1 cup of Chicken Stock
2 Eggs
Juice from 1 Lemon
Water, about 2 tb
Roux made with 2 tb butter and 2 tb flour
Heat up the chicken stock, thicken with the roux. Whip the eggs,
lemon juice and water together until frothy. Add to the stock, slowly
but do not boil (eggs will curdle). Add some salt and pepper.
