  1.                      SUNFLOWER SEED COOKIES

  4. 2 c. sugar
  5. 1 t. soda
  6. 1 t. baking powsder
  7. 1 c. butter
  8. 1 c. shortening
  9.  
  10. 1 t. vanilla
  11. 3 c. flour
  12. 1 c. coconut
  13. 1 c. roasted sunflower seedsCream first six ingredients.  Stir in remaining ingredients. 
  14. Roll into balls and flatten onto ungreased baking sheet.  Bake at
  15. 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.  Can also use salted peanuts.
