2 cup apples - peeled, cored and finely chopped
2/3 cup pecans - chopped
1 ea egg
1/4 cup butter or margarine - melted
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
In a mixing bowl, toss together apples and nuts. Beat together egg and
melted butter or margarine and stir into apple nut mixture.
Separately, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg
and cloves. Mix well and stir into apple mixture. (The batter is
stiff.) Spread in a lightly greased 8" square baking dish. Bake in a
preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until firm to the
touch and lightly browned.

2 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 tsp cinnamon - ground
2/3 cup applesauce - sweetened
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
1 ea egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 x Streusel Topping:
1/4 cup Bisquick baking mix
2 tsp firm butter or margarine
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp finely chopped nuts
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Grease round pan, 9 x 1 1/2". Mix all ingredients except Streusel
Topping until moistened. Spread batter in pan; sprinkle with Streusel
Topping.
Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven until wooden toothpick inserted in
center comes out clean, about 20 to 25 minutes. Serves warm.
Streusel Topping: Mix all ingredients until crumbly.

2 ea apples - large, peeled, cored, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup almonds - chopped
1/2 cup raisins - yellow
1 ea egg
1/3 cup butter or margarine - melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour - unbleached
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cardamom - ground
1/4 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Toss apples with sugar, almonds and raisins. Beat eggs with butter and
vanilla and stir into apple mixture. Combine flour, baking soda
cinnamon, allspice, cardamom and salt in a separate bowl. Stir dry
ingredients into apple mixture only enough to moisten all ingredients.
Spoon into a greased 8" baking dish and bake in a preheated 350 degree
oven for about 45 minutes. Cool slightly before cutting.

3 ea bananas - very ripe
1 x juice of 1 lemon
2 tsp milk or apple juice
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup bran
1 cup raisins, optional
1 x Glaze:
2 tsp milk
1 tsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup confectioners sugar
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Mash bananas with lemon juice until smooth. Beat in milk (or apple
juice), oil and sugar. Sift flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Mix
in bran. Add to bananas and stir in raisins. The dough should be
stiff. Spoon into and 8 x 8 " baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for
35 to 40 minutes @ 350 degrees. Cool on rack and top with glaze.
Glaze: Mix 2 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp melted butter, 1 tsp vanilla and 2 cups
confectioners sugar. Spread over cool cake.

2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 tsp lemon peel - grated
1 ea egg
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp poppy seed
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cup blueberries - fresh or frozen
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp flour
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp milk - to 2 tsp
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour bottom and sides of a 9 or
10" springform pan. Thaw and drain blueberries on paper towels.
In a large bowl, beat 2/3 cup sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Add lemon peel and egg; beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Lightly spoon
flour into measuring cup; level off.
In a medium bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, poppy seed, baking soda
and salt; add to butter mixture, alternately, with sour cream. Spread
batter over the bottom and 1" up the sides of a greased and floured
pan, making sure batter on sides is 1/4" thick.
In a medium bowl, combine blueberries, sugar, flour and nutmeg; spoon
over the batter. Bake @ 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until
crust is golden brown. Cool slightly. Remove sides of the pan.
In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and enough milk until glaze is
of desired drizzling consistency; blend until smooth. Drizzle over top
of warm cake. Serve warm or cool.

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
6 tsp butter, softened
3 ea eggs
1 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
2 cup flour - sifted
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup pecans - chopped
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Add eggs, 1 at a time,
beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and baking
soda together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream,
blending after each addition. Spread half of batter in a 10" tube pan
that has been oiled and lined on the bottom with waxed paper. Cream
butter, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Add nuts; mix well.
Sprinkle half of nut mixture evenly over batter in pan. Cover with
remaining batter; sprinkle on remaining nut mixture. bake in a
preheated 350 degree oven for about 50 minutes or until done.

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder

1 cup black walnuts
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Cream together sugar and butter, then beat in eggs, buttermilk and
vanilla. Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Stir into moist ingredients, mixing well.
In a separate bowl, mix together nuts, sugar and cinnamon. Lightly
grease an 8" square baking dish and pour in half the batter. Sprinkle
over half the topping, then spread over remaining batter and sprinkle
with remaining topping. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for
about 30 minutes.

2 tsp half and half
2 tsp finely chopped nuts, if desired
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, sugar, sour cream, butter,
baking soda, baking powder, salt, orange peel and eggs thoroughly;
stir in granola. Spread half of batter in greased 9" square pan;
sprinkle with Butterscotch Filling. Top with remaining batter. Bake
until crust is golden brown, about 30 minutes; cool completely.
Drizzle with glaze; sprinkle with nuts.
BUTTERSCOTCH FILLING: Mix 1/2 cup Nestle Butterscotch Flavored
Morsels, 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
GLAZE: Heat 1/2 cup Nestle Butterscotch Flavored Morsels, 1 tbsp
butter and 2 tsp half and half over medium heat until smooth.

1/4 cup milk

21 oz cherry pie filling - can
1 x Topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped nutmeats
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
In mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a
time. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients except pie filling. Beat
well. Spread half of the batter in a greased 13 x 9" baking pan.
Spread cherry pie filling over batter. Cover with remaining batter.
For topping: combine all ingredients except butter and nuts in a small
mixing bowl. Cut in butter. Stir in nuts. Sprinkle topping over
batter.
Bake @ 350 degrees about 45 minutes until cake springs back when
lightly pressed with finger.

1/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder - double-acting
3/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter or other shortening
2/3 cup milk
3 ea apples - medium, peeled, thinly sliced
2 tsp butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon - ground
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Mix flour with 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Cut in
butter. Add milk all at once; stir carefully until all flour is
dampened. Then, stir vigorously until mixture forms a soft dough. Pat
into a greased 8" square pan. Cover surface of dough with overlapping
apple slices and dot with butter. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon;
sprinkle over apples.
Bake @ 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake tester inserted

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp almond extract
2 cup Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup fruit preserves (any flavor)
1/4 cup sliced almonds
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Grease a round pan, 9 x 1 1/2". Mix cream cheese, 1/3 cup sugar and
the almond extract; reserve.
Mix the baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar and the butter or margarine until
dough forms. pat in the bottom and 1" up the sides of the pan. Spread
cream cheese mixture over the dough. Carefully, spread preserves over
the cream cheese mixture; sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until golden brown and the cream
cheese is set, 40 to 45 minutes. Cool 20 minutes; carefully, remove
from the pan. Refrigerate any remaining coffee cake.

1 pkg crescent roll dough - (8 count)
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 ea egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nuts - chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Spread crescent roll dough onto a greased cookie sheet, lengthwise.
Combine cream cheese, egg, flour, sugar and vanilla; beat until
fluffy. Spread over dough. Reserve a few of the nuts to sprinkle on
top. Sprinkle combined nuts, sugar and cinnamon over cheese mixture.
Fold ends of dough into center over filling. Sprinkle a few nuts on
top. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour until brown. Cool.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

2 cup brown sugar

ingredients thoroughly. Measure 3/4 cup of mix; set aside for topping.
To remaining mixture, add egg and sour milk to which the baking soda
has been added. Add vanilla; stir. Add raisins or chopped nuts, if
desired. Pour batter into greased 7 1/2 x 11" cake pan. Sprinkle
reserved crumbs over top. Sprinkle cinnamon on top, if desired. Bake
in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes or until done.

1/2 cup milk
2 pkg active dry yeast
1/2 cup water - warm
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 ea eggs - beaten
1 tsp salt
4 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 x melted butter - for brushing top
1 x cinnamon
1 x sugar
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Scald 1/2 cup milk; let stand 5 minutes. Add 2 pkg. active dried
yeast. In a large mixing bowl, blend in 1/2 cup warm (105 to 110
degrees) water, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 stick of butter or
margarine, softened, 2 eggs, beaten, 1 tsp salt, 4 1/2 cups all
purpose flour, one cup at a time.
Knead for 5 minutes. Butter bowl and dough. Cover and set in a warm,
draft free location. Let rise 2 hours. Punch down and knead again.
Cut into 4 sections. Roll into a rectangle. Put butter, cinnamon, and
sugar on dough. Grease cookie sheet. Cut 1/2 way (not all the way
through) down with alternate left and right slashes. Let rise 2 hours.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until
golden brown. Frost, if desired, when cool. Makes 2 coffee cakes.

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 cup strawberries - sliced
1 x Topping:
2 cup sour cream
2 ea egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup almonds - sliced
1 x Garnish:
1/2 cup strawberries - sliced
1 x confectioners sugar
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
For the cake; cream butter and sugar. Combine flour and baking powder.
Add to the butter-sugar mixture; add egg and vanilla. Pat the mixture
into a greased 9" springform pan. Sprinkle with sliced strawberries.
For the topping; blend first 4 ingredients and pour into strawberries.
Sprinkle with almonds. Bake @ 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Arrange
strawberries over topping. Then sprinkle with confectioners sugar

1 cup pumpkin - canned or pureed, fresh
1/4 cup brown sugar - firm, packed
1 ea egg
2 ea graham crackers - fine crumbs
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 lb loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
16 ea large prunes - pitted and chopped
1 oz walnuts - chopped
1/4 cup confectioners sugar
1 tsp water - hot
1/4 tsp lemon peel - grated
DIRECTIONS ------------------------------------------------------------
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a bowl, combine pumpkin, sugar, egg,
cracker crumbs and pumpkin pie spice. Set aside.
On a work surface, press and stretch dough into a rectangle about 20 x
8". Spread pumpkin mixture over dough; sprinkle with chopped prunes,
then walnuts. Beginning with one long side, roll dough, jelly roll
fashion, enclosing filling. Place seam side down on a non-stick baking
or cookie sheet. Bring ends of dough around together to form a ring,
pinching ends together to seal. Bake in middle of oven @ 375 degrees
until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
In a small bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, water and lemon peel.
Stir until mixture is smooth. Drizzle over coffee ring. Slice ring
into 1 1/2" wide slices and serve with coffee.
