README file for the SELLDISK System v1.0 August 1992
┌────────────────────┐
│ WHAT IS SELLDISK │
└────────────────────┘
SELLDISK helps you to create a mailable computer disk that contains
up to 26 text files you have created describing your product(s) or
services.
When your customer or potential customer receives the disk they can
step through all of your files using colorful menus selecting any
one of your 26 files. One of these files of course can be your
order form.
* NO PROGRAMMING REQUIRED *
The SELLDISK system was created to allow any company or agency
to describe, promote and sell their product or service via
a mailable computer disk. ANY product or service or set of
instructions or training program can be put on the disk by you.
┌───────────────────────────────────┐
│ HOW DO YOU CREATE YOUR SALES DISK │
└───────────────────────────────────┘
Option 2 of the SELLDISK Main Menu runs a sample demo program.
Exercise it until you feel you understand it.
What you will do with the SELLDISK System is modify each of the
fields of the demo to YOUR file names and YOUR menu title lines.
At each stage of the operation go back to the SELLDISK Main Menu
and re-run the demo to see what it now looks like.
When you have a finished product, using the SELLDISK program,
copy the demo program to floppy drive A or B giving the new program
your new name.
Test the disk on the floppy until you are satisfied it is as complete
as you can make it then make copies and start putting them in the mail.

on drive C ie. C:\DOS) and a copy of your COMMAND.COM file
should be in the \DOS Directory, which it normally is.
You can find out what your Paths are by typing PATH <return>
from the DOS prompt.
You can change the Paths by editing your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
found in your Root Directory of Drive C: (or Drive D: if you
are using Stacker).
You can verify COMMAND.COM is in C:\DOS by typing

│ SHAREWARE │
└───────────┘
This program is not freeware or Public Domain. It cost us money and
time to create and to continue to improve. Only if you pay the
small registration fee can we continue to support it.
There are real advantages to the Shareware system. You get to try
out software to make sure it's compatible with your system and that it
fits your needs before you "buy" it. KLM Publishing Co. saves the expense
of advertising, packaging and distribution and passes the savings on to
you. Plus, we are much more accessible than commercial software sources.
Accordingly, your questions and suggestions are much more likely to be
responded to.
Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's
commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes finding software
easier, because you can try before you buy. Shareware has the ultimate
money-back guarantee- if you don't use the product, you don't pay for it.
And if you use the product you should pay for it.
