  18. IMPORTANT TO USERS OF VERSION 1.0:
  19.  
  20. Because of the addition of new databases and the new printout design,
  21. the file size of saved readings has changed with version 1.5.  This
  22. means that readings saved with version 1.0 will not be compatible.  You
  23. will need to either make hard copies of readings you wish to save, or
  24. else install version 1.5 in a directory other than the default Empower
  25. directory, to avoid the overwriting of the previous Readings Log.

  28. INSTALLATION:
  29.  
  30. The I CHING EMPOWER TOOL is compressed in a zip file and will need
  31. to be decompressed before installation.  After decompression, from the
  32. File menu in Program Manager, choose Run, and run a:\setup or b:\setup.

  34. If you receive an error message asking you to close any other Visual
  35. Basic applications running, be sure to shut down any Startup group
  36. programs and even screen savers that might have been written in Visual
  37. Basic.

  39. ATTENTION NEW HEWLITT-PACKARD OR PACKARD BELL OWNERS:  PC's by
  40. these manufacturers feature a reminder screen that states you haven't
  41. backed up software bundled with your new machine.  This small
  42. reminder program is written in Visual Basic, and needs to be closed
  43. during installation.  On the reminder screen, press "Don't remind me
  44. anymore" and the program will close.  Once you have closed these
  45. programs,  I Ching's setup will continue peacefully.  This is a quirk of
  46. Microsoft's Setup Wizard, not of the program you're installing.

  124. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  125. using it, you are asked to register.
