  2. This is the 1.7 release of HandiGolf, a program which lets you play
  3. Golf on your PalmPilot.  Documentation for this program is in the Doc
  4. directory, start by reading manual.html.  A text version of the file
  5. without the pictures is in manual.txt
  6.  
  7. Detailed instructions for installation are in the documentation, but
  8. the short version is: install handi.prc, hedit.prc, Duffers.PDB,
  9. StNasty.PDB, and The_Links.PDB in the usual way.  Then read the
  10. documentation in manual.html to figure out how to swing the clubs,
  11. then play.

  13. This program is shareware, please register (the easiest way to do that
  14. is at PalmGear). More instructions on that are in the manual too.

  37. Added par to the scoreboard if you have less than 4 players.  With 4
  38. players it wont fit.  No need to reinstall courses, they are the same.

  43. Fixed a loophole in the program, if you let hook run off the bar (ie:
  44. full hook) the power was HUGE, so you could get to the top of the
  45. screen in one shot even on 600 yard holes.

  51. NOTE: You must reinstall HandiGolf, HandiEdit (Hedit), and all the
  52. courses.

  54. Fixed some bugs, and added some features:
  55.  
  56. - Finally got the elusive huge par number bug, some holes showed a par
  57. value like 163.  It turned out the courses had the wrong par's in
  58. them due to a bug in Hedit.  The courses have been fixed, and the bug
  59. in Hedit is also fixed.

  61. - There were places that referred to a 2 wood and 4 wood, now the only
  62. woods are a 1 and 3 wood consistently.  The clubs are 1W, 3W, 2I, 3I,
  63. 4I, 5I, 6I, 7I, 8I, PW, and PT (putter).

  65. - Changed the sayings around after shots just for some variety.

  67. - Added the Par for the current hole to the swinging form.

  69. - Allowing a player to sink the ball from other than the greens, it
  70. used to be you could only get the ball in the hole by putting, now if
  71. you are close enough on your drive you can sink it too.

  82. Version 1.1 is Palm OS3.5 ready, which means that it will work on the
  83. new devices coming out.  It does not use colors at this point, but I
  84. will do this before long.  This program now works properly on Palm Vx
  85. and Palm color models.
