This trap is deadly to Privateers - independent tunnellers who will attempt to steal your wealth and kill your extractors. Unfortunately it is also deadly for all extractors - including your own characters - so you may wish to block off access to one side using an creature magnet. It is activated by using one of its two menu options. There is an option to deactivate it and one to make it live.
