  7. This patch is for the English language versions of 
  8. European Air War ONLY! Patches for German, French and 
  9. Spanish will follow in days to come.
  10.  
  11. How to Update to EAW version 1.1
  12. --------------------------------
  13. Updating to version 1.1 requires a previously installed 
  14. version of European Air War.
  15.  
  16. 1) Download EAWV1-1.EXE and save it somewhere you will 
  17.    remember (such as your Desktop).
  18.  
  19. 2) Locate this saved file (EAWV1-1.EXE) and double-click 
  20.    on it to install the version 1.1 update. There may be 
  21.    a delay as the updater scans your hard drive for the 
  22.    old version of European Air War. Do NOT click on the 
  23.    icon again; just wait a few moments until the install 
  24.    window appears.

  26. 3) The updater will locate and ask you to verify the 
  27.    location of the old EAW version.
  28.  
  29. 4) After your confirmation, it will install the update. 
  30.  
  31. 5) After the updater is finished, be sure to read 
  32.    about the new changes in the updated Read Me file 
  33.    (under Start/Programs/European Air War/Read Me!).

  35. Multiplayer Note
  36. ----------------
  37. European Air War versions 1.0 and 1.1 are not compatible for 
  38. multiplayer gaming due to gameplay modifications. IGZ (the 
  39. Internet Gaming Zone) will support European Air War version 
  40. 1.1 as of January 14, 1999. Attempting to play European Air 
  41. War version 1.1 on IGZ before that date may result in severe 
  42. warping and/or lag. After that date, only European Air War 
  43. version 1.1 will be supported on IGZ. We apologize for any 
  44. temporary inconvenience that that this may cause.
