  5. Scenery Setup for Europe 1 and Europe 2 FS5.x scenery products shipped before
  6. Microsoft Flight Simulator for Windows 95.
  7.

  10. To install Europe 1 and/or Europe 2 run SETUP.EXE.
  11.  
  12. If you follow thses instructions, you can enjoy your EUROPE1 and EUROPE2 scenery again under FS95:
  13.  
  14. If you have previously installed Europe 1 or Europe 2 for FS95 manually,
  15. you must delete the scenery you are going to install with this setup program
  16. from the Scenery Areas menu (World-Scenery Library-Files) in FS95.
  17. Please note that Europe 2 must have a higher priority (lower layer number)
  18. than Europe 1. If you first install Europe 1 and then Europe 2, you don't have
  19. to make any changes to the priority level.

  21. Europe 1.
  22. --------

  24. The setup program upgrades older versions of Europe 1 to version 1.02a.
  25. It also fixes the ILS localizer heading at Dresden, Germany.
  26.  
  27. The setup program also fixes the frame rate drop problem near the
  28. border of Europe 1 and Europe 2 that FS95 causes.
  29.  
  30. If you receive an error message during the setup procedure CAN NOT CREATE TEMPORARY DIRECTORY E1E2TEMP, then please remove that temporary directory E1E2TEMP manually first and restart the installation. This directory might still be there from an earlier installation that has been aborted.

  32. You should also deinstall via the FS95 SCENERY LIBRARY MANAGER any references to EUROPE1 or EUROPE2 that you might have installed or previously copied manually.

  37. The setup program fixes some problems regarding the dynamic scenery.

  40. Known problems Europe 1 & 2 with Microsoft Flight Simulator for Windows 95.
  41. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

  43. Due to bugs in Microsoft Flight Simulator for Windows 95 (build 117) the
  44. following problems could occur:
  45.  
  46. Using Dynamic Scenery can freeze Flight Simulator. Please disable Dynamic 
  47. Scenery.

  49. Disabling Dynamic Scenery
  50.  
  51. 1.      On the World menu, click Dynamic Scenery.
  52.  
  53. 2.      Make sure that all buttons are turned off.
  54.  
  55.  
  56. Other FS95 Bugs:
  57. ----------------
  58.  
  59. Problem: Some ILS's and ATIS are not working in EUROPE1 or EUROPE2 scenery 
  60. when used with Flightsimulator for Windows95 (i.e. Schiphol, 
  61. Charles-De-Gaulle, Munich, Innsbruck). 
  62.  
  63. Cause: FS95 seems to have a problem with overlapping scenery.
  64.  
  65. Solution: Install the FS95 bugfix from Microsoft FEPAT.EXE, also available from the APOLLO forum or the APOLLO web site at www.apollosoftware.com
  66.  
  67. Work around: De-activate "FS95 CDROM - Europe" and "Paris" in the Scenery 
  68. Library. This is not working for the Munich/Innsbruck area since they are in 
  69. the FS95 default world which can not be de-activated. For the Munich/Innsbruck 
  70. area you could delete or rename the file "ILS_EUR.BGL" in your
  71. <Fltsim95>\Scenery directory (ex. ren ILS_EUR.BGL ILS_EUR.BG~).
