KoolBear's Mission Grabber, v3.0 Standard Edition 15 Aug 97
Known Issues Report
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tech Support Address: KBMG3SE_Support@technologydynamics.com
As of this writing there are only 2 known issues with KBMG3 SE.
1. Error: Un-zipping 40
Some zip files on the web site are zipped with earlier versions of
pkzip. KBMG3 SE may report an Error: Un-zipping 40 on these files
We are in the process of insuring that all our mission archives are
zipped with the lastest 2.04g version of pkzip. If you encounter this
error and you've configured KBMG3 SE to save the mission archives you
can complete the unzipping process by hand with any application you
have that still can read pre-2.04g zip files. Also, please send us
a note with the mission archive name so we can fix the zip file at
our end so noone else gets hit with the same error.
2. MMSYSTEM 263 This is not a registered MCI device.
KBMG3 SE plays a few sound files during its operation. If you encounter
this error it usually means that your sound system has been corrupted
somewhere. There are alot of parts to your sound system and it can
appear to be working normally yet still be corrupted. This usually
involves a missing, corrupted, or incorrect Windows DLL. DLL's are
libraries of executable code that applications can share. Being a
library, this means that applications only use the portions in the
library that they need. The first thing to do is to reinstall your
sound drivers. It's a little extra work, but this will insure that your
sound system is valid and its dlls and system files are valid and not
missing or corrupted. If you have any further problems please send us
a note describing the problem in detail and the exact wording on any
error messages you receive.
