  4. Welcome to this month's hand picked selection of Doom II WADS. The four
  5. most outstanding WADS we've run across this month are as follows:
  6. ^U
  7. DARKBASE.WAD^u    -- Dark Base - Single player WAD but good for 2,3,4 players
  8. ^UEBOLA.WAD^u     -- Ebola - A single player WAD but still good for deathmatch
  9. ^UPAN.WAD^u      -- Pan - Six levels all rolled into one
  10. ^UWUPASS1.WAD^u   -- A Whole Can of Whup Ass - With a name like that...

  12. All of these files can be found in the \DOOM directory on our CD. As always, 
  13. just copy the files into your DOOM or DOOM2 directory (or wherever you 
  14. installed the game).

  17. RUNNING WADS
  18. If you're wondering what to do with a Doom WAD once you copy it into your 
  19. DOOM or DOOM2 directory, here are a few tips.
  20.  
  21. There's usually a TXT file for you to read, and some even include a batch 
  22. file for loading the WAD. If you're left clueless, the standard procedure 
  23. is to type:    DOOMX -FILE WADNAME.WAD
  24.  
  25. * where DOOMX = your Doom executable command, either DOOM or DOOM2 
  26. * where -FILE = would appear just as it is 
  27. * where WADNAME.WAD = is the name of the WAD file you wish to load
  28.  
  29. i.e. To run the DARKBASE.WAD for Doom 2, type:  
  30. DOOM2 -FILE DARKBASE.WAD.

  32. This doesn't always work, they're just general guidelines. As with all WADS, 
  33. updates, add-ons or patches make sure your original files are backed up. PC 
  34. Gamer will not accept any responsibility for problems caused by these files.
