This module contains only german dialogues and journal texts. If you would like to have this module translated into english write an email to g_i_z_m_o@web.de. Maybe you also would like to help me translate it :). Im sorry but writing the dialogues and journal entries was time consuming enough. I have had no time to translate them, yet. Overall i have been working for about 5 months on this module.
I was inspired to create this module due to the fact that the NWN Toolset is a powerfull and easy to handle program. And of course by the fact that im a programmer and a passionate roleplayer in real life. By seeking for an idea for the modules main story i was inspired by the wonderful books of Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, the Dragonlace Chronicles. I hope that i do not violate against any copyright laws for copy some of the places and the world my module story plays in. I'm a big fan of the dragonlace chronicles and i hope the writers are proud to inspired some weird guy to build such a module. My first idea was to make an exact copy of the Dragonlance Chronicles. But during development i decided to leave the book and create my own small story. The book/books would have been to much work to handle.
STORY
You arrive at Solace after a very long journey. Long ago you heard of this beautiful town, bards sang songs about the bold grace of the wooden houses built up high in the trees. But Hobgoblins and villains now live at the lovely places of Solace. Rumors of war struggle the land and the major of Solace needs some brave adventures to help him out...
The rest you have to find out by yourself. You will meet and fight against strong Hoboblins, unbelievable Terrors, shadowy Ghostskeletons and much more.
CHARACTERS / PARTY
This modules is intended to be played by a 2 - 4 party of level 10 characters or higher. If you are lower than level 10 better go somewhere more peaceful. If you play the module singleplayer a character of level 15 or higher is recommended.
MODULE FEATURES
=> about 30 crowded areas filled with numerous foes.
=> Alchemistics! Create up to 30 different potions by mixing different ingredients together. You really should learn how to brew potions yourself, its worth it. You can brew potions you never have seen before or potions you already know like Invisibility or Haste.
=> Enliven areas. I loved to create NPC's wich are walking around, doing some work, watch something a.s.o. I tried to create a module with a lot of atmosphere. I hope you like my little world.
=> Customized creatures to increase the difficulty level. I found many creatures very boring to fight against when you are highleveled. (except dragons maybe :). But its not realistic to fight one dragon after the other. So i created some stronger but still manageable foes.
=> Many new customized items like powerfull weapons and armors. It was a hard decision to create customized items. But i was playing a lot in the net and found that most of the players have been building their equipment with the Aurora toolset by themself. Why then not create some nice items in the module which then can be found by the player.
=> Full multiplayer support. I hope i coded everything right :)
=> 6 new customized monsters to summon. Always wanted to control a dog, here you can do it.
=> A rather small but existing main plot :)
=> Many Sub-Quests.
=> Resting needs food. If you want to rest, you have to consume some food. There are many modules which use also thurst and fatique but that was not my intention. I wanted the player to 'pay' in some way for the rest and this is simply achieved by using food.
=> No curious teleportation system. You can use your STONE OF RECALL in this module, though it does not really fit into the world. But i really hated it to join servers where you must use some mystic kind of staff or ring to teleport. It seesm to me that every module designer uses his own script for teleportation though this feature is not that spectacular and has mostly the same functionality.
=> a neat littly anvil where you can smith your own weapons and armors.
=> Charisma related trade system. You get better prices the better your persuade skill or charisma is.
