  12.  SoftClan "e-cryptor" is just the solution you need for securely
  13.  sending all of your confidential, sensitive or personal infor-
  14.  mation to your partners, customers, friends or family, as well
  15.  as encrypting personal files and folders.

  17.  Some of its features and benefits are:

  19.  - Recipients need nothing for decrypting the information, but
  20.    the encrypted envelope they receive, the password, and maybe
  21.    an unzip program.

  23.  - Encrypted envelopes, as in standard e-mail messages, can
  24.    contain both: file attachments and a Rich Text message.
  25.    Once received, recipients can directly open or save the
  26.    attachments to any location, and read the text message in
  27.    the built-in text viewer.

  55.  REGISTERED VERSION

  58.  The Trial version of SoftClan "e-cryptor" is fully functional.
  59.  However, it doesn't provide a real and effective e-mail protection
  60.  since the possibility of setting the encryption password is
  61.  disabled. All envelopes are encrypted with the same password 
  62.  "100% secure", thus, anyone can decrypt them and see their contents.
  63.  
  64.  The above limitation automatically disappears when the application
  65.  is successfully registered. 
  66.  
  67.  Follow these simple steps to register the program and un-lock it. 
  68.  Please note that you need to be connected to the Internet in order
  69.  to register:
  70.  
  71.  - When first starting the program you will see a screen indicating
  72.    that the program is a Trial version and giving you the option to
  73.    either "Register" or "Continue".  Click REGISTER.
  74.  
  75.  - The SoftClan "Squire" registration dialog box will appear. Locate
  76.    your Product ID within this dialog box - it is underlined in red.
  77.  
  78.  - Locate your Customer ID on the back of your CD case. If you have
  79.    purchased the electronic version of the product, the Customer ID
  80.    was emailed to you. If you havenÆt purchased the product, you will
  81.    first need to purchase the product to obtain your Customer ID.

  83.  - Once you have both your Product ID and Customer ID, select:
  84.  
  85.    "To register and obtain your Serial Number, click here."
  86.  
  87.  - You will be taken to a website. Please fully complete the regis-
  88.    tration form, being sure to enter both your Product ID and
  89.    Customer ID correctly and click SEND.

  91.  - Your Serial Number to unlock the program will be emailed to you
  92.    within 24-48 hours. Once you receive this number, go back to the
  93.    SoftClan "Squire" registration dialog box. Enter the Serial Number
  94.    in the appropriate edit box and click REGISTER.

  110.  INSTALLING SoftClan "e-cryptor"

  113.  - Extract the files from the .ZIP file to a (temporary) folder
  114.    and then run SETUP.EXE.
  115.  - Setup will guide you through the rest of the installation
  116.    process.

  119.  UNINSTALLING SoftClan "e-cryptor"

  122.  You can uninstall the program by:
  123.  
  124.  - selecting OPTIONS >> UNINSTALL from the main screen, 
  125.  
  126.                or

  128.  - selecting START from the Windows taskbar and then: PROGRAMS -> 
  129.    SOFTCLAN E-CRYPTOR -> UNISNTALL SOFTCLAN E-CRYPTOR.

  133.  - selecting START from the Windows taskbar and then: SETTINGS -> 
  134.    CONTROL PANEL -> ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. Then chose SoftClan 
  135.    "e-cryptor" as the program you would like to remove.

  137.  Note: Remember that all saved encrypted files will remain on
  138.  ----  your system and can still be decrypted even after the
  139.        program has been uninstalled as they are self-decrypting.
