Additional Keys During Play:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
G - game over - quit this game right now
R - reset entire game state (uppercase only)
Gameplay Notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your goal is to connect as many similar-type blobs as possible,
and if you're really good, you can clear an entire field of dots,
leaving none behind.
Scoring:
~~~~~~~~
Scoring goes as the square of the number of blobs you collect at once:
Blobs - Points
2 0
3 1
4 4
5 9
6 16
7 25
8 36
9 49
10 64
etc etc etc etc - bigger and bigger!!!
POINTS BONUSES: If you successfully clear an entire
level of all dots, you will be awarded additional points
equal to 50% of your existing score, for a total of 150%
of your base score.
POINTS PENALTIES: If you have any dots remaining, you
will be penalized an amount of points equal to the sum
from 1 to the number of dots remaining, i.e, if you
have 5 dots remaining, you will be penalized a total
of 1+2+3+4+5 = 15 points.
The second column in the high score chart indicates how
many dots you had left over. Zero is perfect!!
EASTER EGGS! Yeah, you found 'em. For scrolling down this far,
let me tell you about a couple of very handy keys that didn't
documented. FROM WITHIN THE GAME, when you are actually looking
at the field of dots, these keys are operational:
h - show the histogram for the current field of dots
t - take a snapshot of the current screen (1-step "save")
s - restore the snapshot of the screen (restore the "save")
u - undo
f - fast new game (same dimensions)
n - new game
r - restart
Enjoy!!
