Short: Professional virus detection tool v1.2
Author: Zbigniew Trzcionkowski (zeeball@interia.pl)
Uploader: Zbigniew Trzcionkowski (zeeball@interia.pl)
Version: 1.2 (04.01.2002)
Type: util/virus
Requires: OS37+, MultiView (for MMU version mmu.library)
Name: Integrity
STATUS: VirusWare
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Short doc:
This tool is able to show all changed/added/deleted files on your
HDD since last checking. This is very useful for detection of
viruses/trojans, but of course the information about changes might
be useful for removing of freshly installed but unwanted fonts, libs
and so on...
There is no real doc as this tool is said to be designed for
advanced users, however usage shouldn't be so complicated.
For security reasons I suggest booting from original WorkBench disk
before performing checkings (to avoid being cheated by stealth viruses)
and using MMU version where available. The MMU version requires
excellent mmu.library, and the only difference is
that it's code is write-protected in memory.
The lastest compare output can be found in: "RAM:Integrity.output"
It is also displayed with MultiView.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Special thanks:
Soenke Freitag of VTC in Hamburg for his COMP and CHECK which were base
of this tool!
Thomas Richter for his mmu.library and soft accompanied with it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
COMMENT:
It's been some time since idea of MILL - modular antivirus program
was born. Alas this project seems to be dead as I'm the only
person who had time to do anything last months... :-(
Integrity was said to be "button" in this tool, however it works
very well as it is, so don't be shy and try to use it. Even it
is lame coded.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
VirusWare means that you should send me file infected with first virus
you will come across since you decided to use this program. Even old
bootblock viruses are accepted, but only files smaller than 50kb are
accepted. "Registered users" can be listed in the next release if they
only wish so.
Why such a stupid kind of soft? Just to estimate some things or in the
other words to see what old/new is still around.
