  1.  ABOUT FILE MASTER 2.0

  3. File Master 2.0 was designed using Visual Basic 3.0 Professional for Windows.  The program has several functions:
  4. ╖ Find file(s) with exact name, or with particular type of extension.
  5. ╖ Find file(s) by the date upon which they were last altered.
  6. ╖ Find total directory size of all directories on the harddrive, or only main directories.
  7. ╖ Find size of particular file types, for the class of such types as a whole, or individually.
  8. ╖ Sort located files to show largest and smallest directories.
  9. ╖ Save file lists as text documents.
  10. ╖ Print file lists for distribution.

The sole difference between registered and unregistered versions of File Master 2.0 is in the number of items which can be exhibited in the results window (right side of interface).  The unregistered version will display only 15 items, while the registered version will display several thousand lines, bounded only by the operating system (see Out of Memory Error).  The 15-item limitation is sufficient to demonstrate the functions of the program as well as to provide limited usefulness to the enduser

If you are using the unregistered version of File Master 2.0, then your use of its capabilities is severely limited.  The registered version allows unlimited lines in the file results screen (rather than 15 lines, as permitted by the unregistered version). However, see  Out of Memory Error, below.
