  43.   The V7-VEGA VIDEO graphic card is a product that offers significantly
  44.   enhanced features compared to other standard VGA graphic and 
  45.   accelerator boards.
  46.  
  47.   This particularly applies to  
  48.   - higher resolutions    and
  49.   - higher refresh rates.
  50.  
  51.   Please be aware that you can only take full advantage of the 
  52.   features provided by the V7-VEGA VIDEO, if the other components of 
  53.   your system, especially the graphic monitor that is being used,
  54.   also comply with the specifications of the V7-VEGA VIDEO.
  55.  
  56.   (Example : The resolution 1280x1024 that is supported by the 
  57.   SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO can obviously not be used with a monitor that
  58.   is specified to only support resolutions up to 1024x768.)

  60.   To run MPEG-Files and VideoCD you need multimedia software.

  67.   To install the SPEA V7 Windows driver 'BigWin':
  68.   (Only for floppy disk installation, does not apply to CD ROM install.)

  70.   At the end of the current installation procedure,
  71.   please insert disk "Drivers for Windows" and enter:

  84.   As already mentioned above, the graphic monitor used with the
  85.   SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO must comply to the specifications of
  86.   the SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO. Only then can the full functionality
  87.   of the SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO be used.

  91.   Please only select parameters that your monitor is specified for.
  92.   Your monitor may be seriously damaged, if it is constantly driven 
  93.   with parameters which are not within the range of its specification.
  94.   If you change your monitor you have to compare the specification
  95.   and, if necessary, to change the resolutions / refresh rates!

  102.   1) It is not possible to use two or more VGA boards in one PC at 
  103.   the same time. 
  104.   In case you want to use the V7-VEGA VIDEO board in a PC that has a 
  105.   VGA interface integrated on the motherboard, then this integrated
  106.   VGA interface must be disabled before the V7-VEGA VIDEO may be used.
  107.  
  108.   2) In some PCI PCs you may reboot (cold restart) your computer twice
  109.   if the SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO is installed in a PCI motherboard slot
  110.   of such systems. 
  111.  
  112.   3) Some applications such as Windows 3.1x, and others offer 
  113.  
  114.            "Video 7 ..." display interfaces
  115.  
  116.   in their configuration programs.
  117.  
  118.   These options should NOT be selected when using the SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO.
  119.  
  120.   Please follow the instructions given in the user's manual to guarantee
  121.   that the optimum configuration for the SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO is being
  122.   installed.
  123.  
  124.   4) To keep the compatibility to a lot of monitors, the 
  125.   SPEA V7-VEGA VIDEO has the possibility do create low refreshrates
  126.   at high pixel resolutions. Synchronisation problems may in this case
  127.   occure with high-class multi-sync monitors. To prevent this, please
  128.   choose the highest horizontal frequenzy as possible with your monitor.

  130.   5) Read unconditionaly the file DPMS.DOC.
  131.  
  132.   6) Under OS/2 warp there are known limitations:
  133.      
  134.      Running MPG-files with the XING MPEG Player from seamless/fullscreen
  135.      Windows/OS/2 may cause a system crash.
  136.  
  137.      Moving an icon on the desktop with no application running
  138.      may hang up the system. Avoid that by starting any application before
  139.      moving an icon.
  140.  
  141.      Under certain conditions appears the background of a closed
  142.      application in some windows of seamless windows started speedy
  143.      benchmark program.
  144.  
  145.      Unavailable menu items are shown black coloured instead of gray
  146.      coloured.
  147.  
  148.      Torque benchmark program shows a message:
  149.      Floating Point: Square Root of Negative Number
