  3. ENSONIQ Soundscape driver for Windows NT
  4.     Driver version  1.09

  6. PLEASE NOTE: This driver is for the Soundscape card SNDCRD002AAWW,  
  7. SNDCRD002ABWW SNDCRD006AAWW,  SNDCRD006ABWW, and SNDCRD006ACWW only.  
  8. This driver is NOT compatible with the SoundscapeVIVO SNDCRD006ADWW 
  9. card.  If you are unaware of which Soundscape card you own, please 
  10. contact Gateway technical support before installing these drivers.

  12. PLEASE NOTE#2:  This file contains drivers only.  There are no 
  13. applications provided for use under Windows NT.  To play .WAV 
  14. and .MID files under Windows NT, use the Microsoft provided 
  15. applications, Media Player, Sound Recorder, and Volume Control.

  17. Installation

  20. To install the driver:
  21.  
  22. 1.  Open the Control Panel, select drivers.
  23. 2.  Select Add and then Unlisted or Updated driver
  24. 3.  Click on browse and select the location where you extracted the downloaded driver
  25. 4.  Click on OK  and then OK again
  26. 5.  Choose ENSONIQ Soundscape and click on OK
  27.  
  28. The system will copy the required files and then prompt you to restart your system.

  30. To configure the driver:

  32. 1.  Open control panel and select drivers.
  33. 2.  Scroll to ENSONIQ Soundscape and click on setup
  34.  
  35. From here, you are able to modify the resources that your Soundscape card is using.
  36.  
  37. PLEASE NOTE:  Windows NT is NOT a plug and play operating system and therefore 
  38. can not automatically adjust resources to fit the Soundscape card into your 
  39. system.  To resolve resource conflicts, you will need to map out the resources 
  40. of other components is your system and then make the necessary changes to 
  41. the jig saw puzzle.
