  6.    Before scanning, it is important that you have completed the
  7.    following steps:
  8.  
  9.    Step 1:  Install the scanner interface card in your computer.
  10.  
  11.    Step 2:  Connect the scanner cable to the interface card.
  12.  
  13.    Step 3:  Run the installation of Twain Data Source.
  14.  
  15.    Step 4:  Install the application software program.
  16.  
  17.     Warning:Before you install the hardware, you must power off the computer
  18.                  to avoid damage to its internal component.   
  19.  
  20.   If you have not finished these steps, please refer to the scanner
  21.   user's guide for more details.

  24.   Following are steps on how to uninstall your scanner installation program Twain 
  25.   Data Source:

  27.    Step1:   Under the Windows/TWAIN directory, delete the directory 
  28.             MSFCEP and all its contents.
  29.  
  30.    Step2:  Delete the vsfxd.386 file in the Windows\System directory
  31.  
  32.    Step3:   Delete the line device=vsfxd.386 from the system.ini using 
  33.             an editor such as PE3 or the "edit" command in DOS.
  34.             ( The vsfxd.386 is the driver of the scanner device )
