  201. Win95 Driver limitation
  202. =======================
  203.  
  204. -To have 1024x768 256c 72Hz vert. refresh support, the video BIOS version
  205.  has to be v1.14 or later.

  207. -In TV mode, open any application shows that bottom of the application is
  208.  shown partially. 
  209.  
  210. -Switching from any non-TV display type to TV requires Win95 to restart.
  211.  This is by design.
  212.  
  213. -In TV mode, the Win95 logo screen got shifted down.

  216. How to Install 754X Win95 Driver
  217. ================================
  218.  
  219. 1.  Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  220.     Control Panel.
  221. 2.  Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  222.     Display Properties folder and select the Settings tab (right most tab).
  223. 3.  Choose the "Change Display Type..." button and click the "Change..." 
  224.     button in the Adapter Type group.
  225. 4.  Select the "Have Disk..." button and then insert the 754X WIN95 Driver 
  226.     Installation diskette into the floppy drive A: or B: and proceed with 
  227.     OK button.
  228. 5.  "Cirrus Logic 754X (Cirrus)" will be highlighted for a VLB system or 
  229.     select "Cirrus Logic 754X PCI (Cirrus)" for PCI system.
  230. 6. Press OK and files are being copied from the diskette to your computer.
  231. 7. If a "Version Conflict" dialog box pops up and asks "Do you want to keep
  232.    this file?", answer "No".
  233. 8. Press Close again to exit Display Properties folder.
  234. 9. Select Yes to restart computer before the new driver will take effect.

  237. How to change colordepth
  238. ========================
  239.  
  240. 1. Make sure you have installed the Cirrus Logic 754X Win 95' driver (see
  241.    How to Install 754X Win95 Driver section above).
  242. 2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  243.    Control Panel.
  244. 3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  245.    Display Properties folder and select the Settings tab.
  246. 4. Click on the pull-down arrow from the Color palette area to select color
  247.    depth.
  248. 5. Choose OK to restart Win95.

  250. How to change resolution

  266. 1. Make sure you have installed the Cirrus Logic 754X Win 95' driver (see
  267.    How to Install 754X Win95 Driver section above).
  268. 2. Click on the Start box in the lower left corner and proceed to Settings,
  269.    Control Panel.
  270. 3. Inside the Control Panel group, click on the Display icon to open the
  271.    Display Properties folder and select the Refresh tab.
  272. 4. You can change to different refresh rates for different resolution and/or 
  273.    switching to different display type in the Active display area.
