  12. The mach64 device drivers supplied here are for Windows 3.1 and 
  13. Windows 3.11. THIS ZIP FILE CONTAINS WINDOWS 3.1X DISPLAY DRIVER 
  14. FILES ONLY.

  20. IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTALLED A mach64 WINDOWS DRIVER PREVIOUSLY, YOU MAY 
  21. REQUIRE YOUR MICROSOFT WINDOWS DISKETTES TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION 
  22. OF THIS DRIVER.  
  23.  
  24. 1. Ensure that you have a copy LOAD64.ZIP.  It is available on the ATI 
  25. BBS, ftp site (ftp.atitech.ca), and on our CompuServe forum (GO 
  26. ATITECH).
  27.  
  28. 2. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE, v1.10 or later.  
  29. PKUNZIP is available on most BBS and information services, including 
  30. the ATI BBS and CompuServe.
  31.  
  32. 3. Do NOT attempt to perform the driver installation from within 
  33. Windows Exit Windows completely, and perform the following operations 
  34. in DOS.
  35.  
  36. 4. Unzip LOAD64.ZIP and 64W31201.ZIP into the same temporary directory 
  37. on your hard disk, then run the LOAD64.EXE utility.  For example:
  38.  
  39. MD \ATITEMP
  40. PKUNZIP LOAD64.ZIP \ATITEMP
  41. PKUNZIP 64W31201.ZIP \ATITEMP
  42. CD \ATITEMP
  43. LOAD64.EXE
  44.  
  45. 5. Follow the screen prompts for installing the Windows3.1 driver.  
  46.  
  47. IF YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR MESSAGE, INDICATING THAT A CERTAIN FONT (.fon) 
  48. FILE IS NOT PRESENT, YOU WILL NEED TO RUN WINDOWS SETUP FROM DOS TO 
  49. COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION.  WINDOWS SETUP WILL PROMPT YOU FOR THE 
  50. DISKS ON WHICH THESE FONT FILES ARE FOUND.

  52. 6. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of 
  53. the temporary directory (DEL \ATITEMP\*.*) and delete the directory 
  54. itself (RD \ATITEMP).  
  55.  
  56. 7. We recommend that you keep a copy of the ZIP files (64W31201.ZIP 
  57. and LOAD64.ZIP), in case you need to install the driver again.
