  39. This product was developed by Panacea Inc. exclusively for use with 
  40. ATI's family of mach64 accelerators. This version of TurboDLD is 
  41. designed to specifically support DOS versions of AutoCAD 10/386, 11, 
  42. 12, and 13.  It also support 3D Studio 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 
  43. AutoShade with Renderman 2.0.

  45. The TurboDLDClassic's main function is to speed up AutoCAD pans, 
  46. zooms, and redraws.  The driver accomplishes this by creating and 
  47. maintaining a Display List - a fast-displaying object list of the 
  48. current drawing - which dramatically increase the performance of 
  49. AutoCAD.

  53. 2.0     Installation Notes
  54.  
  55. 1. Ensure that you have a copy of LOAD64.ZIP.  The LOAD64 utility is 
  56. used to install this driver.  LOAD64.ZIP is available on the ATI BBS, 
  57. ftp site (ftp.atitech.ca), and on our CompuServe forum (GO ATITECH).
  58.  
  59. 2. Ensure that you have a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE 2.04G.  PKUNZIP is 
  60. available on most BBS and information services, including the ATI BBS 
  61. and CompuServe.
  62.  
  63. 3. Do NOT attempt to perform the driver installation from within 
  64. AutoCAD. Exit AutoCAD completely, and perform the following 
  65. operations in DOS.
  66.  
  67. 4. Unzip LOAD64.ZIP and 64CAD222.ZIP into the same temporary 
  68. directory on your hard disk, then run the LOAD64 utility.  For 
  69. example:

  71. MD \ATITEMP
  72. PKUNZIP LOAD64.ZIP \ATITEMP
  73. PKUNZIP 64CAD222.ZIP \ATITEMP
  74. CD \ATITEMP
  75. LOAD64

  77. 5. Follow the screen prompts for installing the CAD drivers.
  78.  
  79. 6. Once the driver has been installed, you can delete the contents of 
  80. the temporary directory (DEL \ATITEMP\*.*) and delete the directory 
  81. itself (RD \ATITEMP).

  83. 7. We recommend that you copy the ZIP files (64CAD222.ZIP and 
  84. LOAD64.ZIP) to floppy disk, in case you need to install the driver 
  85. again.

  87. 8. For further configuration instructions, please consult the file 
  88. MANUAL.TXT.
