  1. 1. Updating your system BIOS by FLASH.EXE
  2.

  8. *    1. Flash EPROM provides you a convenient way to update your      *
  9. *       system BIOS, please note that updating your system BIOS       *
  10. *       is serious, only update when you need to do it. Un-necessary  *
  11. *       updating cause malfunction of the system are not cover        *
  12. *       within the warranty.                                          *
  13. *                                                                     *
  14. *    2. If you write something wrong to your FLASH EPROM, system      *
  15. *       may not boot anymore, please refer to the manual carefully    *
  16. *       to make sure you follow the correct step in updating, or      *
  17. *       ask qualify technician and/or call your dealer for help.      *

  23.   (1) Make sure the VPP voltage Jumper of Flash EPROM is correct. If
  24.       it is wrong, the Flash EPROM can not be programed. Please refer
  25.       to the manual to set it correctly.
  26.  
  27.   (2) Boot your system from MS-DOS system diskette which contains no
  28.       CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files.
  29.  
  30.       Note: FLASH.EXE can't work under protected mode/virtual mode.
  31.             Memory manager like QEMM386, EMM386, 386MAX should not be
  32.             loaded.

  34.   (3) Type "FLASH", then press "ENTER"
  35.  
  36.   (4) Choose command option 2 to load new BIOS and program FLASH EPROM.
  37.       There are more than one BIOS files in this diskette. Please chose the
  38.       correct BIOS to program Flash EPROM.

  47. *     Select the wrong BIOS files, will cause wrong updating to the      *
  48. *     FLASH EPROM, the system will not boot anymore.                     *

  52.   (5) If your get any error during FLASHing EPROM, please go back to
  53.       step 4, until successfully FLASHing it. Otherwise, system will
  54.       not boot anymore.

  62. *      Once you are updating the FLASH EPROM, unless it is 100%          *
  63. *      compare OK, you can not stop the process. Whenever you had        *
  64. *      error that can not reslove when you try again on step 4 for       *
  65. *      several times, don't turn off the power supply, call your         *
  66. *      dealer immediately.                                               *

  73.   (7) Turn OFF power and restart system again.
