- CyberQWK is *NOT* public domain, freeware or "free software".

- dialog boxes delay will increase for each day beyond this period.

- The demoware version has no evaluation period restrictions. If not

- The demoware version will only work with BBS mail packets it is
- designed for unless registered. BBS's can purchase a site license
- from Stryder Software Development. Stryder Software Development
- will supply registration keys for all BBS paying subscribers.

- Hardware and Software Requirements :
- ----------------------------------

- To use the CyberQWK Mail Reader you will need an IBM PC or compatible
- computer with at least the following:
-
- - 4 meg of memory (8 meg for best performance)
- - at least 1 megabyte of hard disk space (1.5 meg free for the install)
- - DOS 6.2 or greater
- - Pkzip/Pkunzip (optional)
- - Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 depending on version
- - a 386 or above processor.
- - a monitor (SVGA preferably but others work)

- Installation :

- If received in archive format (zip) uncompressed into a temporary
- directory. If received on a floppy disk the files are already
- uncompressed on the disk.

- 1. Close all running applications before continuing.
- 2. Select File/Run from program managers menu bar.
- 3. Press the "BROWSE" button on the run file dialog box.
- 4. Move to the drive and directory which contains the
- uncompressed files.
- 5. Select the file "SETUP.EXE" and press the "OK" button.
-
- CyberQWK's setup program will initialise itself. This may take
- a few seconds depending on the speed of your computer. After it has
- loaded itself it will start CyberQWK's installation wizard. The
- installation wizard only requires the directory were to install
- the mail reader files and the name of the program group to add its
- icons to. Enter the appropriate information in the available edit
- boxes. The installation wizard will check the information you supply
- for validity and also wether your system meets the requirements to
- run CyberQWK. The installation wizard will display the results of
- its evaluation. If you entered invalid data or your system will
- not support the use of CyberQWK it will notify you how to correct
- this first. Pressing the "CANCEL" button at any stage of the
- installation will quit setup and no changes will be made to your
- system. When the Installation wizard is ready to perform the actual
- installation process it will ask for confirmation to continue.

- Win 3.1 or WFWG Uninstall-

- In the program group you installed the CyberQWK off-line mail
- reader into should contain a "UnSetup" icon. If the icon has been
- removed the "UnSetup.exe" can be found in the installation
- directory. Simply follow the prompts displayed and the CyberQWK
- off-line mail reader will be removed from your system.

- To uninstall manually-
-
- 1. Delete all files and directories in the directory which
- you installed the CyberQWK off-line mail reader into.
- 2. Delete all icons and program group that the installation
- wizard created.
- 3. In the windows directory delete the file "CYBERQWK.INI".

- ==========

- 2. Either double click the setup program or start
- it from control panel/install software.
- 3. The Stryder Install Wizard will direct you through
- the installation proccess.

- Windows 95 Uninstall-

- From control panel start install/uninstall software. Highlight the
- CyberQWK Mail Reader in the displayed list of installed software. Press
- the uninstall button. The Stryder UnInstall Wizard will remove all files that were
- installed and remove enteries in the registry related to this software.

- This software uses the Exceed Zip Compression Library from
- Exceed Software Inc to handle Pkzip/Pkunzip 2.40g archives
- intenally. This software will not work on earlier versions
- of Pkzip compressed mail packets.
