  1.     TaskInfo v.4.0 for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2k/XP

  4.     TaskInfo2002 is an utility that combines features of Task Manager
  5. and System Information. It visually monitors different types of
  6. system information in Windows 9x/ME/NT/2k/XP and allows to copy such
  7. information to clipboard or a text file. It also allows to run/stop
  8. processes and force shutdown/restart of system.

  10.     TaskInfo2002 is shareware program. You may use it for no more than 30 days
  11. for free, and you must register it after this trial period expires.

  13.     For information about registration see 'Register.txt' located in directory 
  14. where the program is installed.

  25.     You can distribute TaskInfo2002 anywhere you want, but you must
  26. not alter original set of files in program distribution archive.

  29.     ABOUT THE PROGRAM

  32.     TaskInfo2002 shows information about all running processes
  33. and threads (including Windows 9x ring0 VxD threads) in real time.
  34. Information about each process includes:
  35.     - threads        - CPU usage
  36.     - scheduling rate    - path
  37.     - open files        - command line
  38.     - environment variables - memory usage
  39.     - DLLs in usage        - and other
  40.  
  41.     System information includes:
  42.     - CPU, memory and cache usage
  43.     - data rates for disk, network, dial-up and other
  44.     - all open files
  45.     - CPU identification information (type, model/step etc.)
  46.     - loaded kernel drivers information
  47.     - OS version info and system directories
  48.     - logged user and computer name
  49.     - IP network host name and IP names/addresses on network adapters
  50.     - power status (including battery status for portable PCs)

  52.     TaskInfo also allows to:
  53.     - run new processes
  54.     - force termination of badly behaving processes
  55.     - change process priority
  56.     - shutdown/restart system

  59.     SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  62.     Minimal: Pentium 100 MHz or better is recommended
  63.     System:  Windows 9x/ME/NT/2k/XP
  64.              (Windows 3.x is not supported)

  66.     Single and multiple CPU systems are supported.

  68.     INSTALLATION
  69.     ============

  71.     To install the program on your computer, run 'Setup.exe'.
  72. It will copy all needed files to a directory that you want,
  73. create entries in the system 'Start' menu and update system information
  74. needed for proper work of TaskInfo2002.

  76.     IMPORTANT: TaskInfo2002 must be installed by a user with
  77. administrative privileges in Windows NT/2k/XP; installation directory
  78. must be on a local drive under these systems. After successful installation
  79. any user on this computer can run TaskInfo.

  82. and 'Register.txt' located in directory where the program is installed
  83. (this text file 'Readme.txt' should be located in the same directory).
