  13. I.  Purpose
  14.     StickyNote 6 Lite is a freeware sticky notes program for your
  15. Windows PC.  Using it, you can create sticky notes on your desktop, but
  16. additionally you have many extensive abilities, including sending notes
  17. over the Internet to your friends, changing fonts, rolling up notes,
  18. changing background bitmaps, creating your own color library, and many,
  19. many more things.  StickyNote is a simple, straightforward, yet deeply-
  20. functional program which accomplishes exactly that task for which it
  21. was created- storing your ideas, to-dos, all your notes in an easy-to-
  22. access fashion.

  24. II.  Installation
  25.     To install StickyNote 6 Lite on your machine, simply run the
  26. Setup program enclosed in this distribution.  This setup program will
  27. prompt you accordingly.  The only caveat is that you must exit any
  28. older versions of StickyNote before running installation.  You can
  29. exit your old StickyNote by right-clicking its icon in the system
  30. tray, and choosing "Exit" from the menu which appears.
  31.     After following the instructions in Setup, StickyNote will
  32. be installed and its shortcut placed in your StartUp folder.  To start
  33. StickyNote, simply go to the StartUp folder and click on its icon.

  35. III.  System requirements
  36.     Your machine must have a working Internet connection.  StickyNote
  37. will need to log onto the Internet periodically on start up to check its
  38. version and to download the latest news.  If your Internet connection
  39. is not working, StickyNote will not be able to start at some point.
  40.     Additionally, you must have a mouse.  It is recommended
  41. that your computer display more than 256 colors to appreciate the
  42. full effects of StickyNote.

  45.     StickyNote 6 Lite is a freeware program.

  47. IV.  Distribution
  48.     StickyNote 6 Lite is freely distributable.  You may not change
  49. the contents of the distribution file, however.
