  51. DeskNotes is an application for quickly recording and organizing
  52. information you need to remember - without cluttering up your desk
  53. with scraps of paper. With it you can create realistic looking notes
  54. right on your desktop. Use it to quickly jot down ideas before they
  55. are lost.
  56.  
  57. Its Note Manager can be used to organize your notes into notebooks for
  58. ease of retrieval. Search functions are provided for quickly locating
  59. information.
  60.  
  61. With the Attribute Browser you can extend your notes by defining
  62. priorities and alarms, or to even schedule notes to open and
  63. programs to run automatically.
  64.  
  65. Need to do some math? Just type an expression on a note, and
  66. DeskNotes will compute the result.
  67.  
  68. Included is a built in Note Server. Use it to send and receive
  69. notes from other DeskNotes users.
  70.  
  71. DeskNotes was also designed to be fun! Each DeskNote has over 100
  72. properties that can be adjusted to change the appearance of a note.
  73. Sounds can be assigned to Note Events, to further customize
  74. DeskNotes.

  76. To get you started, DeskNotes includes a starter kit of predefined
  77. note templates and a collection of over 200 image files that make great
  78. looking note backgrounds.

  80. DeskNotes runs on Windows 95, 98, and NT 4.0. With a P90 or better, it
  81. can display hundreds of notes at once. Try it. I'll bet you never opened
  82. 200 windows at once.

  105. 1) Un-zip DESKNT30.ZIP to a temporary directory.
  106. 2) Run SETUP.EXE, answering the questions.

  108.    (If you are using winzip you can just double click on
  109.     setup.exe inside of winzip to run the installer,
  110.     without first extracting it.)

  112. DeskNotes DOES NOT install ANY files (see notes) in any directory,
  113. other than the one YOU tell it to. It DOES NOT replace any of your
  114. system files, or otherwise add to the clutter in your Windows
  115. directory.

  122. You can un-install DeskNotes using "Add/Remove" programs in the
  123. Windows control panel.

  128. DeskNotes uses long filenames! If you are installing to a network
  129. drive, please make sure that it supports long filenames.

  131. The installer will copy the files "unvise.exe" and "unvise32.dll"
  132. to your Windows directory. They are about 100k total. This is the
  133. un-installer program, and is the recommended location for these
  134. files. You may already have these files if you installed a program
  135. that uses the same installer as DeskNotes.
