This is a tutorial for those wanting to learn how to design Web pages using HTML. It can be used by teachers and lecturers as a resource for their students. It can also be used by independent learners.
The Evaluation Copy is limited to roughly a third of the course and can be freely used - if it is distributed then that's fine, provided that this readme.txt file is included. The full version runs to just over 100 pages in Word 97 format and somewhat less than this in HTML. It is distributed on a shareware basis and is available for the modest sum of 12 UK Pounds Sterling (about US$20) - see below.
The material has been used successfully in the classroom and has evolved over a period of time. It includes example code and pages which are designed to develop skills progressively.
Here's a summary of the topics covered:

The course material is available in Word 97 and in HTML formats. There is a UK version available now, and a US version which seeks to recognise (or is that 'recognize'??) differences in idiom and usage is also available. Feedback from users of the US version suggesting improvements would be particularly welcome.
Constructive comments and suggestions are welcome - free upgrades to those whose ideas are included in any future release!
ORDERING THE FULL VERSION
We support the shareware principle and hope that you will appreciate the costs and work involved in producing the software that we offer. If you feel that you can make good use of it, then we're delighted and we hope you will accept that the modest cost will be worthwhile and that it will also allow us to continue producing a wider variety of material.
We consider it fair to point out that, if you are ordering this for use in a school/college, then we are happy to supply the material on a one-per-establishment basis such that no site license is necessary. Anyone who distributes copies of the full product beyond this limit will have to live with that on their conscience and they are advised to consider whether that burden of guilt is tolerable...
We can process orders which are accompanied by a UK Cheque or International Money Order for 12 UK Pounds Sterling. Alternatively, our secure online ordering system is available if that would be more convenient to you. You can find this facility on our website - it accepts most of the major credit cards and allows to to download the tutorial straight away.
If you would like the software to be posted to you on a floppy disk in zipped format then please add 1 UK Pound Sterling handling charge. Alternatively, you can supply an email address and we will email you details of how to download the full version.
You may wish to copy and paste the form below - please take care to complete all the relevant details:
