Zipman Revisions
----------------
Version 1.1 --- September 1, 1992
- Fixed extraction bug for version 1.1 of ZIP. Don't know how
I missed this one!
Version 1.2 --- November 10, 1992
- No bug, but got rid of annoying "Are you sure" message when quitting.
Version 2.0 --- November, 1992
- Major revision. Fixed many confusing aspects of the zipping process
- Allows you to choose what files you want to zip with a selection box.
- Allows you to unzip certain files also with a selection box.
- Now only supports version 1.1 of PKZIP and PKUNZIP. Future versions
of Zipman will support the new versions of ZIP. But right now,
nobody's using 1.93.
January, 1993
- Fixed some small bugs, and improved logic of some controls.
- Now have 3-d controls and am drawing the bitmaps for the
custom buttons.
- You do not have to press enter after zipping a program, but may
pause the screen by modifying the runzip.pif file by toggling the
"close window on exit" control. RUNZIP now will run in
background and in a window.
February, 1993
- Support True Type Fonts in the view mode.
- Option to pause screen is now controlled by the Zipman program.
- Supports drag and drop, and associations.
- Support new switches for PKZIP and PKUNZIP for version 2.04g.
- Compression support for ZIP, ARJ, and LZH type compression, and
decompression of ZIP, ARJ, LZH and ARC.
- Can now create a group on the fly after you extract.
Version 2.1 --- April 16, 1993
- Fixed the problem when selecting the extraction directory. The
dialog box was taking over the entire system.
- A strange bug which made the Zipman window go haywire if you try to
run it minimized. This can now be done.
Version 3.0 --- September 1993 - August 1994
- Now allows you to select more than 1 file when opening. Each
successive file is opened into view mode as you are through with the
previous one. From the view mode, you may press "X All" to get out
of the whole thing.
- Fixed a bug in which PKUNZIP reported an error to RZ.EXE when you
have it setup to confirm overwrites. RZ made you press 'Enter' when
that happened. This has been removed.
- Added a 'History' for files which had previously been added to, or
opened. Also a history for previously used Archive and Destination
paths. The most recent being on top. Zipman will save 10 histories
for each history item.
- 'Always on Top' option added.
- 12 hour, or 24 hour option.
- 'Quick Unzip' - When this is checked, Zipman automatically selects
all files in an opened ZIP and unzips them to the default directory.
- Checks the destination drive to make sure there's enough disk space
to decompress the file.
Version 3.0 --- January-June, 1995
- New installation program written. (The way it ought to be).
- Other miscellaneous bug fixes.
