  9.   USING THE UNINSTALLATION PROGRAM: UNINSTAL.EXE
  10. ***************************************************************

  12. The easiest way to un-install WizManager is to use the 
  13. un-install program provided with WizManager. Make sure that 
  14. File Manager is not running (WizManager is not loaded) when you 
  15. launch UNINSTAL.EXE. UNINSTAL.EXE is available on WizManager's 
  16. installation disk. 
  17.  
  18. If you do not have an installation disk (if you are running the 
  19. evaluation version of WizManager for example), copy the 
  20. UNINSTAL.* files (UNINSTAL.BIN, UNINSTAL.EXE, UNINSTAL.INF and 
  21. UNINSTAL.BMP) from your WizManager directory to a floppy disk 
  22. and run the UNINSTAL.EXE program from there.

  25.   MANUALLY UN-INSTALL WIZMANAGER

  28. To un-install WizManager manually  you must erase or suspend
  29. the WizManager specific information in the WINFILE.INI file
  30. (not WIN.INI!) and, if desired, delete all of the WizManager
  31. files.

  37. Edit the WINFILE.INI file with notepad.exe or any other text
  38. editor (not a word processor, unless you know how to save the
  39. modified file as a text file). WINFILE.INI should be in your
  40. Windows directory.

  42. Look for the [AddOns] section and either:
  43.  
  44.   - Delete the entry (entire line) which starts with
  45.     WizManager=(...)WIZMGR.DLL, where (...) is the path to
  46.     WIZMGR.DLL.
  47.  
  48.     or
  49.  
  50.   - Add a ';' (without the quotes) at the beginning of the
  51.     entry WizManager=(...)WIZMGR.DLL. Adding a ';' makes the
  52.     line a comment and is therefore discarded by File
  53.     Manager. Choosing this method to un-install WizManager
  54.     leaves you the option to have WizManager back at any time
  55.     by simply removing the ';' at the beginning of the entry.

  57. The following entries may also have been created by earlier 
  58. versions of WizManager in WINFILE.INI and can be removed:

  68.   DELETION OF WIZMANAGER FILES

  71. If you choose to completely remove WizManager, your second step
  72. is to erase all the WizManager files in the directory where
  73. WizManager is installed. You can look up in WINFILE.INI what
  74. WizManager's path is under the [WizManager] section in the
  75. WizManagerPath entry.

  80.   WIZBAR.DLL    (WizManager buttonbars library)                    
  81.   WIZSRCH.DLL    (WizManager search engine)

  83.   WIZMGR.DAT    (WizManager data file)            
  84.   THRDUTLS.DLL    (WizManager threads)    
  85.   WIZ3D.DLL    (WizManager 3D Library)                
  86.   MZIP.DLL    (WizManager ZIP library)            
  87.   MUNZIP.DLL    (WizManager UnZIP library)            
  88.   BIVBX11.DLL    (WizManager viewer support library)    
  89.   MHVIEW.VBX    (WizManager viewer support library)

  110. installation process or created in your Windows directory. You

  119. directory, however, we do not recommand deleting it as it may 
  120. be used by several other programs:
