  5. To Install Birthday Reminder
  6. ============================
  7. You should have received the following two files:
  8.  
  9. BIRTHDAY.EXE
  10. BIRTHDAY.HLP
  11.  
  12.  1. Copy these two files to your windows directory (or other directory if you wish).
  13.  2. From the Windows Program Manager, click the File, Run... menu.
  14.  3. In the command line type:  birthday.exe  and click OK.
  15.      (You will need to specify a path if you didn't use the windows directory above)
  16.      The Birthday Reminder program should then start.
  17.  4. From the Birthday Reminder File menu choose Install, Birthday Reminder...
  18.  5. From the Birthday Reminder File menu choose Install, Birthday List Manager...

  20. You will now be able to start the birthday reminder program by double clicking 
  21. the Birthday Reminder program item in the Accessories group in the Program 
  22. Manager.

  24. Also, each time you start windows, the birthday reminder will automatically scan 
  25. your birthday list and remind you of any birthdays occurring in the next two 
  26. weeks.

  28. To run Birthday Reminder you will also need a copy of VBRUN300.DLL. This file 
  29. has intentionally been left out to reduce download time as most people already have a 
  30. copy in their windows\system directory. If you dont already have a copy you can 
  31. download it from most bulletin boards or you can request a copy from the authors

  39. Manually Adding Birthday Reminder in the Startup Group
  40. ======================================================
  41. Normally, you would install Birthday Reminder in the Program Manager
  42. Startup group using the 'Install, Birthday Reminder...' menu option.
  43. However, if you need to set this up manually you will need to use the
  44. /r command line switch. This tells Birthday Reminder to check for, and
  45. display any birthdays in the next two weeks only (as opposed to displaying)
  46. the Birthday List Manager).
