  70. This demo release of Total Soccer allows you to play a single game between 2 english
  71. premier teams, either as a single or two player game.

  73.  o There are several options you may select.. many of which are disabled
  74.  o Use the cursor keys and RETURN to navigate the menus
  75.  
  76. The varying pitch types are to enable you to get the highest possible frame rate on your
  77. computer.
  78. Total Soccer likes to run at 60fps, and may begin to look jerky at even 40 fps.

  129. \ Playing the game /

  132. Gameplay should be fairly intuitive, including aftertouch, one touch passing, sliding
  133. tackles and so on.
  134.  
  135. If you hold down the PASS button whilst running up to the ball you will hold the ball,
  136. where you can change your direction and pass.
  137. When KICKing the ball, the longer you hold down the fire button, the higher the ball
  138. will go.
  139. When the ball is in the air pressing kick will make your player to jump. If he makes
  140. contact with the ball whilst mid air he will head the ball.
  141. When the ball is on the ground, and not inyour posession then pressing kick will make
  142. your player do a sliding tackle.

  144. Corners  : KICK will play a ball into the 18 yard box in the appropriate direction.
  145.            PASS will pass the ball to the nearest player.
  146.  
  147. FreeKicks: KICK/PASS will pass the ball to the nearest player.
  148.            when within shooting area, pressing KICK will shoot at the goal in the
  149.            direction pointed at, aftertouch will then apply.

  152. To initially get to grips with the game we suggest you practice by playing a two player game,
  153. against a non-existant player 2, ie by selecting KEYS1 vs KEYS2 etc.
  154. You WILL find the game tricky at first, but you should soon pick up the control system, and
  155. be scoring some truly golden goals. Then why not send them to the totalsoccer web-site for
  156. the monthly goal of the month competition.
