- <p> Could three years have gone by without a Jane Fonda movie?
- Though busy with other things -- exercise tapes, a health
- retreat, an impending divorce -- she's been acting too. She
- co-stars with Gregory Peck and Jimmy Smits in The Old Gringo and
- has made another film, with Robert De Niro. "It's been
- exciting," she says, "working with three men in such different
- stages of their careers." In Stanley & Iris, not to be confused
- with the hot box-office couple Harry and Sally, Fonda's a
- do-gooder who falls for the illiterate De Niro and teaches him
- his letters. See Jane read.
