  15. his large rich tone and his dexterity in the tradition of the
  16. peerless Paganini; in La Ciotat, France. At three, Francescatti
  17. began his study of the violin with his father, who had been
  18. taught by the Italian master Camillo Sivori, protege of
  19. Paganini. His concert tours with Maurice Ravel and with pianist
  20. Robert Casadesus won him wide acclaim.
