  18. <p>     She just said nei to Norway. Olympic gold medal figure
  19. skater KRISTI YAMAGUCHI is bowing out of the Lillehammer games
  20. and gliding gracefully away from the superstress she would have
  21. been subjected to as the sport's most promising Stateside
  22. Olympic contender. "At Albertville there were no expectations
  23. placed on me," says Kristi. "Coming away with the gold was icing
  24. on the cake. How much better could you get?" Not much. But
  25. unfortunately, a Kristi-free women's team will put the U.S. on
  26. thin ice in 1994. Now the heat is on Nancy Kerrigan, who ranked
  27. a disappointing fifth at this year's world championships.
