  19. <p>     The message blaring out of six Houston radio stations was
  20. loud and clear. "Look at all those people," says a voice. "Where
  21. do they come from?" A companion replies, "It will get worse...They want to let in millions more immigrants."
  22. </p>
  23. <p>     The slick radio campaign kicked off last week by the
  24. Washington-based Federation for American Immigration Reform says
  25. traffic, homelessness, drug smuggling and other social problems
  26. will only escalate if present rates of immigration continue.
  27. FAIR is seeking a tighter lid on illegal immigrants and a
  28. 300,000-a-year cap on legal new arrivals.
  29. </p>
  30. <p>     Outraged by FAIR's campaign, some community officials have
  31. called for a boycott of the radio stations. In the face of such
  32. protest, the stations withdrew the ads. Unfazed, FAIR is looking
  33. for other outlets.
