  1.         Fahrenheit 1280 VESA Text File

  4. The diskette contains Beta versions of TSR that enable VESA 
  5. compatiblity for current shipping Fahrenheit 1280 boards.  This
  6. 32K file can be run anytime before entering a VESA compatible
  7. application.  Like most "TSR" or Terminate and Stay Resident
  8. applications, you must re-boot your system to remove it from
  9. memory.  This file supports VESA Standard 1.2 and earlier.

  12. To load this "TSR" application:
  13.  
  14. 1. Copy the file to your root directory.
  15.  
  16. 2. When you are planning to run a VESA compatible application
  17.    type:
  18.  
  19.         C:\REVX    <ENTER>
  20.  
  21. Where "X" corresponds to the first number in your BIOS.  (i.e.
  22. if your BIOS is 1.x, run "REV1" and for 2.x, run "REV2".
  23.  
  24. Note: Re-boot your system and look in the upper-left hand 
  25.       corner of the screen for your Fahrenheit BIOS VERSION.

  27. 3. Run your application.

  29. Note: Since this is a "TSR" file, conflicts with other programs
  30.       or "TSR" files may occur.

  32. Known Problems:
  33. ---------------
  34.  
  35. 1. VPIC (graphic file viewer) functions at only 1024x768x256
  36. color mode.  This is due to VPIC's application structure.
  37.  
  38. 2. There are also upgraded drivers on the BBS.  The older driver
  39. versions of WordPerfect, MS-Word, Lotus 123, GEM, and Ventura will
  40. not run with this TSR file loaded.  The new versions (any self
  41. extracting ZIP dated after 2-1-92) on the BBS will function
  42. correctly.
