  6.       Thank you for evaluating the latest version of  PRINTSCREEN 95 !
  7.       Following is a description of the new operating characteristics and
  8.       enhancements of version 4.0:
  9.  
  10.       When ENABLED, Printscreen 95 allows you to print the ENTIRE SCREEN by
  11.       selecting PRINT, and will print only the ACTIVE window if ALT + PRINT
  12.       are pressed together. 
  13.  
  14.       When ENABLE DOS PRINT is selected, pressing the PRINT KEY from a DOS
  15.       prompt will print the text contents of  the DOS application. Windows does not
  16.       recognize line draw characters, however; and will print + and - sign characters
  17.       instead if the screen contains text boxes or other line draw components.
  18.  
  19.       Pressing the SELECT AREA button allows you to draw a RECTANGLE on the
  20.       screen using the MOUSEPOINTER, and PRINT/SAVE the area within the
  21.       rectangle. (Note: You must wait until the cross-hair mousepointer appears
  22.       before you draw the capture rectangle.)
  23.  
  24.       VERSION 4.0 now supports printing HIGH COLOR bitmap images, unlike
  25.       previous versions which were limited to 256 colors.  An option is also provided
  26.       to SAVE the SCREEN or ACTIVE WINDOW image to a disk file. The following
  27.       file formats are supported: BMP, Compressed BMP, GIF, TIF, JPG, PCX . You
  28.       can select the FILES option to view files, and convert images from one format to
  29.       another.

  31.       The INVERT COLORS option produces a negative print image, which helps    
  32.       to save toner when printing windowed "DOS Boxes".

  35.       The program operates by capturing the image loaded to the clipboard as the
  36.       print key is pressed.  It therefore becomes necessary to DISABLE the program
  37.       when "NORMAL" usage of the CLIPBOARD is required. COPY and PASTE
  38.       operations in applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel require the
  39.       DISABLE option to be selected to avoid conflicts. This will eliminate having to unload
  40.       and then restart Printscreen 95. If ENABLE DOS PRINT is left unchecked, TEXT
  41.       ONLY cut & paste operations may be accomplished with Printscreen 95 ENABLED.

  43.       The printing speed in V4.0 has been improved significantly, eliminating the need
  44.       for the Fast Print option which was available in previous versions.
  45.  
  46.       If you require higher quality graphics prints, de-select the ENABLE PRINT SCREEN
  47.       checkbox, and check SAVE IMAGE FILE. When the captured screen appears in 
  48.       the Image File Window, select FILE, and then PRINT. In this mode the Advanced 
  49.       Print Options dialog is displayed, and the higher quality, (..but slower...) printing 
  50.       code from the previous version 2.9 is used.

  52.       Hint: If high-resolution graphics are not required, 300 dpi prints twice as fast as 600
  53.             dpi on HP and other Laser and Inkjet Printers.
