  6. *               Five of my favourite excerpts from                   *
  7. *                    Mozart: The Magic Flute                         *
  8. *                                                                    *
  9. *           Fully orchestrated for the GUS (ver. 3.53)               *
  10. *                                                                    *
  11. * PLEASE NOTE that this is a very detailed and delicate sequencing.  *
  12. * If you want to fully appreciate it,                                * 
  13. *   (or fully hate it, who knows...),                                *
  14. *    - Play these pieces using the playmidi from the GUS             *
  15. *      distribution diskettes, version 3.53 or later; and get the    *
  16. *      patch map and patches to the original settings;               *
  17. *    - Use a good stereo, and do some careful and adequate           *
  18. *      equalizaton; (then it may be worth recording them             *
  19. *      in a chrome cassete);                                         *
  20. *    - This is what I found under other devices I have:              *
  21. *      .WaveBlaster: sounds so so so, velocities wrong,              *
  22. *       very unbalanced. (very nice glockenspiel, though)            *
  23. *      .Yamaha PSR-510 keyboard: so so so so, and many patches       *
  24. *       sound inadequate. (I hate their glocken).                    *
  25. *      .Roland SCC-1: almost good, needs some fixing on the relative *
  26. *       voices enhancement; and their flute low registers are more   *
  27. *       like an oboe... :-(.                                         *
