Install Instructions:
1. After executing the downloaded .EXE, you will have an PIE\ITV
directory with the demo version of Into The Void in it.
2. Run the INSTALL.EXE program
3. It is not necessary to 'Select Sections to Install'
4. It is necessary to choose a directory to install into. The default
is C:\PIE\ITV you may change it to any directory, including the same
directory to which the downloaded .EXE was expanded.
5. Select 'Install Product' and wait as the game is installed,
initialized, and configured.
6. You must enter the 'Set Sound Options' area in order to
get music and sounds. The installer will attempt to figure out
your sound-card's IRQ (or interrupt), ADDRess, & DMA on its own.
If you are unable to set the correct sound settings, the game
may lock upon start-up. In this case, enter the INSTALL program
turn off the sound in the 'Set Sound Options' area.
7. Multiplayer options for Net play & Email play are turned off for
the Demo version.
8. Save the configuration and exit.
9. Run ITV.EXE to begin the game.
Note: The 'HELP' tutorials are available with a right-click within the game.
In the Retail version:
- 400% more technology to research in weapons, ships, defenses, & buildings!
You only get 1 tech level in the demo.
- Custom Game allows universes with upto 10 players (AI and/or Human),
hundreds of planets, and unlimited turns!
- Intermediate Scenario allows upto 3 players with only 3 systems. A
perfect next game after the Beginner Scenario!
- Gorgeous rendered intro & end sequences!
- Play upto 10 players over a Local Area Network, Internet Email, or hot-seat
style!
- All 7 digital music sound-tracks!
