MRBackup Professional 2.1 - Shareware
=====================================
Welcome to MRBackup Professional. This is a shareware product. It is
not free software. Please see the Docs/Shareware document for the
terms of your shareware agreement.
Available Documentation
-----------------------
MRBackup Professional is distributed with two document files:
Docs/MRBackup.doc - plain ASCII text file
Help/MRBackup.guide - AmigaGuide (tm) hypertext file
Also available on the MRsoftware support BBS are ".dvi" (device
independent output from TeX) and PostScript versions suitable for
printing on a high quality printer. These document formats also
include a Table of Contents and a full index.
Installing MRBackup Professional
--------------------------------
MRBackup Professional is installed with the Commodore Installer
program. Due to space limitations on the MRBackup install disk, this
program is no longer provided with MRBackup. However, it is readily
available from most Amiga BBS's (including the MRsoftware Support BBS)
and Aminet (Internet/ftp). It's also available in older versions of
MRBackup Professional. If you are upgrading from a previous version
of MRBackup Professional, copy the Installer program from your old
installation disk to SYS:Utilities or some other directory included in
your program execution PATH.
To install from the Workbench, simply double-click on the
Install-MRBackup icon. To install from the CLI, use the CD command to
make the MRBackup installation disk (or directory) the current working
directory, then invoke the installer program with Install-MRBackup as
a parameter. Examples:
If installing from disk:
CD DF0:
Installer Install-MRBackup
If installing from a directory:
CD MyDisk:MRBackup2 (for example)
Installer Install-MRBackup
About AmigaGuide
----------------
AmigaGuide is not distributed with MRBackup, though it is available
for download from the MRsoftware BBS (see the Docs/Support document
for details) and many other public BBS's or commercial support forums.
In order to use the Amiga Help key with MRBackup, you must have
amigaguide.library installed in your LIBS: directory. If you are
running AmigaDOS 2.1 or higher, AmigaGuide (or MultiView) most likely
came installed on your system.
