STUDENT AID HELP - CONFIGURATION OPTIONS
This area allows you to change the default configuration setup. Once you have
selected the configuration you wish to have, these options will be saved to
the current directory under a file name "SA.Config". This is an ASCII file
which can be edited (not recommended), should it ever get deleted Student Aid
will resort to it's preprogrammed defaults.
The currently available options which can be changed are listed below, note
that to select the option you must click on the area of the option [there
are no keyboard equivalents for anything other than H)elp and E)xit]
PATHS FOR DISK FILES - These are the paths which student aid uses to find
its system files (SA uses the C: commands - Copy, Filenote, Delete, and
the RAM: device), the test files (which end in a .TST suffix), the test
help files (has the same name as the test file but ends with the .HLP
suffix), and the grades files (same as test but with .GRD suffix).
QUIZ/TEST OPTIONS - Here you may choose to redefine the number of questions
student aid asks you for a quiz or a test. Note: this number can be between
1 and 100 but if it is set to less than the number of questions in a test,
the quiz/test will of course not consist of anything more than the nr of
questions available. ie.. you cant take 100 questions if you only have 5!
TEST GRADE OPTIONS - After you take a test or quiz, student aid will save
your score if you so choose. This area allows you to change whether to save
those scores for tests, quizzes, or incomplete attempts (when you exit
early). Here you can also select the number of grades per test to keep on
file (max = 250) it is to your advantage to make this small as disk input
output can slow you down.
GENERAL OPTIONS - This area selects your screen color mode, there are 5
predefined screen modes (2 B&W, 3 COLOR). Also, available is the sound
on/off option.
