  6. A remix of the demo Dreamscape, released at The Gathering 96.
  7. The demo ended up in 2nd place.
  8.  
  9. The previous release had support for some graphics boards, notably
  10. it worked perfectly on Cybervision/64 cards and even some
  11. Piccolo SD64 cards. Now, on popular demand, the support for other
  12. boards using Cybergraphics has been improved.

  14. As far as I know, this demo is the only one with true CyberGraphics
  15. support around, and it looks real cool too imho :-).

  17. The archive contains just a new version of the main executable file.
  18. In other words, you must have Dreamscape already installed on your
  19. hd to use it.

  21. If you don't have Dreamscape installed, get the archive from one of
  22. the following locations:

  32. To install, just copy the new executable into the directory where you
  33. have installed Dreamscape.

  35. Requirements: Any amiga with 68020+ & KS 39+
  36. Recommended:  Amiga 1200 with 030/50, 4mb fastram.
  37. Tested on:    Most configs from plain A1200 (yawn) to A4000/060/CV64.

  42. New cybergraphics features:
  43.    - Supports all boards in 8 bit grey mode
  44.    - Supports all boards with a 32 bit ARGB mode in full color
  45.    - Much faster in grey mode
  46.    - Slightly faster in full color mode
  47.    - Double buffering
  48.    - Does not need Amiga output at all anymore
  49.    - New 1x1 and 2x2 modes

  51. Other new features:
  52.    - Now enables all caches on startup. Nice if you start the demo
  53.      from a fresh boot (why?). This may be turned off with the
  54.      "-nocc" option.
  55.    - Rewrote the text routine and loading routines.
  56.    - Double buffering in ECS mode
  57.    - New 1x1 and 2x2 modes

  59. Bugfixes:
  60.    - Removed a horrible timing bug in the AGA 8 bit grey mode.
  61.      If "-maxspeed" was not used, the speed could be halved.
  62.    - Removed a display bug in the "Atom rotator" part.
