  2.                            JUNIOR PHYSICS FACTS

  5. JUNIOR PHYSICS FACTS is an interactive physics tutorial for students
  6. beginning the study of physics.  The tutorial is divided into eight chapters
  7. which deal with the following physics topics:-
  8.  
  9. 1. FORCES AND MOTION.
  10. 2. HEAT.
  11. 3. ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM.
  12. 4. ELECTRONICS.
  13. 5. WAVES, LIGHT AND SOUND.
  14. 6. EARTH SCIENCE.
  15. 7. ENERGY CONVERSIONS.
  16. 8. GREAT PHYSICISTS.
  17.  
  18. Each chapter has test questions at the end.  When a test is completed 
  19. your score is given as a percentage.  Registered users receive a separate
  20. program which enables the test questions to be taken on their own.  This
  21. provides a quick way of self testing.

  23. To run the program type JUNPHY at the DOS prompt.
  24.  
  25. You will see the title screen first.  Press enter to continue.  The menu
  26. screen will appear.  Use the cursor keys or the mouse to select the chapter
  27. you want and press enter or click the left mouse button. At the bottom of each
  28. screen there are four options:- HELP, PAGEBACK, CONTINUE and QUIT.  Use the
  29. cursor keys or mouse to change from option to option.  Press enter to select
  30. or click the left mouse button. 
  31. Highlighted words can be accessed by using the cursor keys or mouse also.
  32. Press enter or click the left mouse button to reveal information on the
  33. highlighted word.

  35. Answering questions within the tutorial:-

  37. All answers entered MUST be preceded by A:
  38. E.g. If the answer to a question is 25m enter your answer like this:-

  41. Your disk should contain the following files:-

  44. JUNPHYT.EXE.................... Called by JUNPHY.COM.
  45. JUNPHY.CNF..................... Configuration file.
  46. JUNPHY.HYP..................... Hypertext file.
  47. JUNPHY.HLP..................... help file.
  48. JUNPHY0.BIN.................... Tutorial chapter file.
  49. JUNPHY1.BIN....................       ''

  59. INSTALL.COM.................... Installs the tutorial to a hard disk (C:

  62. Installing to a hard disk (Drive C:):-

  64. Place the disk in drive A:, type INSTALL and press enter.
  65.  
  66. This will create a directory called JUNPHY on the hard disk and then copy all
  67. the files to it.
