  1.                 Thank you for trying out WRITE CHINESE!

  3.    This program teaches basic Chinese calligraphy, focusing on 150 of the most
  4. frequently encountered characters which constitute approximately 1/3 of all
  5. printed materials. Both traditional and simplified characters are covered. 
  6. The student practices calligraphy by drawing characters on simulated 
  7. "nine-square box" paper. The program evaluates each character as it is being
  8. drawn, providing continuous feedback and positive reinforcement.
  9.    This program also has quiz options to teach character meanings as well as
  10. Mandarin (Pinyin and CNPA) and Cantonese (Yale) transliterations.
  11.     WRITE CHINESE is shareware, and of course, we would really appreciate 
  12. your monetary support. Registration brings with it many benefits, including a
  13. larger Chinese database and bonus programs.  Whether or not you do choose to 
  14. register, we would still like to hear from you!  Your comments about the 
  15. program will be deeply appreciated.
