  5. This mouse-driven program, using pulldown menus, allows you to keep detailed
  6. information about every stamp in your worldwide postage stamp collection.  
  7.  
  8. - Runs on any IBM/Compatible computer, 460K RAM, hard disk with 2.6 MB free, 
  9. and DOS 3.3 or  above.  Supports laser / dot matrix printers with internal 
  10. font support for HP Laserjet II, Epson FX, Epson LQ, IBM Graphics, Panasonic,
  11. Diablo and Star printers. Supports other printers when you enter the normal 
  12. and compressed font codes for your particular printer.

  14. - Price:  $39.50  (plus $4.00 shipping/handling)  Standard program includes 
  15. 6500+ United States stamps (using Scott numbers).  Optional market value files
  16. are available for United Nations, Canada and Israel stamps at $15 each.  Many 
  17. back-of-book issues are included. Other countries will be available based on 
  18. customer requests. You'll also get a printed user's manual and technical 
  19. support via telephone, Compuserve e-Mail or the regular mail.  Shipped same day
  20. using USPS Two Day Priority Mail.  Credit cards, checks, mint US postage at 
  21. face are accepted.

  23. MAJOR PROGRAM FEATURES (many user suggested):

  25. - Pull-down menus support a Microsoft, Logitech, compatible MOUSE (or keyboard) 
  26.  
  27. - Supports multiple inventory data files. If desired, keep one data file for 
  28.   each album.
  29.  
  30. - 6,500+ U.S. stamps priced in several categories (mint, used, plate blocks, 
  31. first day covers, ordinary cover, sheets, and plate number coils) and in grades
  32. from space filler to extra fine. Includes issues through 1993 including most 
  33. "back-of-book" issues (eg. revenues, stamped envelopes, "Ducks", postage due, 
  34. etc.). These market values are updated each December. A menu option allows you 
  35. to recalculate your inventory values with a single keystroke as these new market
  36. value update files are released.

  38. - 16 data fields to describe each stamp or cover in your inventory including 
  39. catalog number, alternate catalog number, date acquired, cost, source, type, gum
  40. condition, centering, multiple, country, description, stamp graphics name, 64K 
  41. remarks field, market value.  World Philatelist automatically inserts the stamp
  42. description, year of issue and market value adjusted for condition into each 
  43. inventory entry (for supported countries.

  45. - edit your inventory entries one stamp at a time or use the full screen editor
  46. where you can edit up to 45 stamps at once.  Cut/paste columns, move entries to
  47. differentinventory file, lots more!

  49. - scan in pictures of your inventory and view them within World Philatelist

  51. - unlimited number of database entries, limited only by your available hard 
  52. disk space

  54. - sort inventory, market values, plate number coil values, and auction bids 
  55. databases on any field for viewing (in either ascending or descending order)
  56.  
  57. - five stamp identifiers:
  58.   - determine country of origin
  59.   - stamp identifier by stamp subject or phrase for several countries 
  60.   - stamp identifier for the Washington/Franklin issues of 1908-22
  61.   - stamp identifier for the 1922-29 regular series 
  62.   - determine foreign stamp currency and exchange rate
  63.  
  64. - Utilities include: 
  65.   - track mailbids/auction activities. Create list of current bids, determine 
  66. appropriate bid amounts for a specific stamp in various grades, create a letter
  67. to mail with your bids to each auction company, etc.
  68.   - back-up/restore your inventory data files. The program will recognize 
  69. unformatted floppy disks and will format them automatically before backing up 
  70. the data. You can backup files to multiple disks.
  71. - system diagnostics to help troubleshoot system problems
  72. - shell to DOS - frees all but 8K of your original available memory
  73. - change video mode to 25, 43, or 50 lines for viewing reports / databases
  74. - printer/font options. Supports LPT1-3, COM1-4 ports

  76. - export your inventory data to ASCII text, FoxPro 2.x, dBASE 3/4, Clipper, 
  77. World Stamp Collector, US Philatelist, .DIF formats that can be imported 
  78. into other spreadsheet, database and word processing programs.

  81. Clipper, World Stamp Collector, US Philatelist and Stamp Collector's Data

  84. - Several reports are available and most have many flexible options available:

  86. - Wantlist Report - manual entry or computer generated.  Identifies stamps you
  87. need for your collection within a user specified price range and range of stamp
  88. numbers (or years) to include. Both manual and computer generated wantlists can
  89. include stamp number and/or description and/or market value. Wantlists are 
  90. broken down for each stamp type (eg. mint, used, FDC, etc).

  92. - Inventory Report- list entries for a single or for all countries.  The quick 
  93. report will list all stamps for one or all countries with associated information
  94. including market value, date purchased, source, etc.  The custom report allows 
  95. you to specify which specific stamps to include in the list.  You can pick a 
  96. range of catalog numbers, range of purchase dates, range of value, and you can
  97. even list all entries for a given source.
  98.  
  99. - Cost Analysis Report - determine how much you have spent and the current 
  100. market value of your collection.  Includes many detailed tables "by stamp 
  101. type", "by source" and "by centering". This report can be for one or all 
  102. countries in your collection.
  103.  
  104. - Auction Report - identifies your mail bids/auction bids in effect
  105.  
  106. - Inventory Analysis Report- breaks down the types of stamps in your collection
  107. into the different types of issues (eg. Postage due, regular/commemorative, 
  108. officials, postal cards, etc.  Total number, cost, stamp type and current 
  109. market value are given for each of these categories.  
  110.  
  111. - Stamps to Upgrade Report- enter a stamp range and highest grade to include 
  112. and all stamps equal or below this grade are added to this report. This listing
  113. can be for one or all countries.
  114.  
  115. - Inventory after a specific date - this report lists all stamps acquired after
  116. a given date (great for sending updates to your insurance company.
