  16. IMPORTANT for Users:
  17.   Before Installing, make sure you have installed NT 4.0 Service Pack 3.0
  18.   or greater, otherwise NT 4.0 will hang up when reboot again.
  19.  
  20. After plugging your graphics card, Windows NT 4.0 will default to the
  21. standard VGA mode (640 x 480, 16 colors). The procedure below describes
  22. how to install ASUS display drivers for Windows NT 4.0.

  25. Installing ASUS display drivers for Windows NT 4.0
  26. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  27. 1.  Start up Windows NT in VGA mode.
  28. 2.  Run the Windows NT Display program located in the Control Panel, under
  29.     "Settings" in the Start menu or right click the mouse button on the
  30.     desktop and select "Properties" from the popup menu.
  31. 3.  Select the "Settings" tab.
  32. 4.  Select "Display Type...".
  33. 5.  Select "Change..." from the display options.
  34. 6.  Select "Have Disk..."
  35. 7.  NT will prompt you for the correct path, enter the path of the driver
  36.     such as D:\NT40 (assuming your CD-ROM drive is letter D)
  37. 8.  A list of video adapters will be displayed. Select the ASUS display driver
  38.     you are using, then click on the "OK" button.
  39. 9.  Windows NT will once again prompt for confirmation.
  40.     All appropriate files are then copied to the hard disk.
  41. 10. Select "Apply" in Control Panel. Restart Windows NT.  Windows NT will
  42.     start up using the ASUS display drivers.
  43. 11. NT will boot into a default mode and start the Display applet allowing
  44.     for mode selection.

  47. Uninstall instructions
  48. ----------------------
  49. 1. These drivers must be uninstalled by a user with Windows NT Administrator
  50.    privileges.  Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft
  51.    Windows NT User's Manual for more information on Administrator privileges.
  52. 2. Start Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.
  53. 3. Click Start control bar option, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
  54. 4. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, click "ASUS display Drivers", click Add/Remove.
  55. 5. Click Yes when asked if you wish to continue.
  56. 6. Click OK when asked if you wish to restart the computer.
