  11. The Windows 95 drivers contained on this CD-ROM can be installed directly
  12. from the CD-ROM. First you must have Windows 95 installed with the Standard
  13. VGA driver (640x480x16) before you install the Diamond Viper V330 Series
  14. Windows 95 drivers.  If you are running a different graphics mode please
  15. re-configure for Standard VGA.

  17. After rebooting in VGA mode run the START program from the CD's root
  18. directory: X:\start.exe (Where X is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive).
  19. Follow the instructions to install the Windows 95 drivers and at the end you
  20. will be prompted to reboot your system.

  23. Manual Installation Instructions
  24. --------------------------------
  25. 1.  Once Windows 95 restarts you will want to click the "Start" button, then
  26.     choose "Run...".
  27.  
  28. 2.  Now insert the Diamond CD into the your CD-ROM drive and within the "Run"
  29.     dialog box type the following: "x:\WIN95\DISK1\INSTALL" where x is the 
  30.     corresponding letter of the CD-ROM drive.

  32.            The following command line switches can be used with INSTALL:
  33.  
  34.                 /f                      This forces a Full installation
  35.                                         (Diamond Viper V330 Series 
  36.                     Windows 95 Display Driver and
  37.                                         InControl Tools 95).
  38.  
  39.                 /m                      This forces a Minimal installation
  40.                                         (Diamond Viper V330 Series 
  41.                     Windows 95 Display Driver only).
  42.  
  43.                 /d"drive:\path"         This installs InControl Tools 95 into
  44.                                         drive:\path. Note that the quotes, 
  45.                                         drive letter and path are required.
  46.                                         In addition, either the /f or /m
  47.                                         switch must be used in conjunction
  48.                                         with this selection.
  49.  
  50.                 /r                      This forces a system reboot after
  51.                                         installation.  Note that either the /f
  52.                                         or /m switch must be used in
  53.                                         conjunction with this selection.
  54.  
  55.                 /nr                     This prevents a system reboot after
  56.                                         installation.  Note that either the /f
  57.                                         or /m switch must be used in
  58.                                         conjunction with this selection.
  59.  
  60.         /u            This forces an Unattended installation.
  61.                     This has all of the functionality of a
  62.                     /f installation, but does not launch 
  63.                     the setup wizard after the system 
  64.                     reboots.

  68.                 uninstall               This will completely uninstall the
  69.                                         Diamond Viper V330 Windows 95
  70.                     Display Driver and InControl Tools 95.
  71.  
  72. 3.  Once the Diamond Setup Wizard dialog box appears you will be able to
  73.     review the Readme file or continue on with the installation by selecting
  74.     "Next".
  75.  
  76. 4.  The Setup Wizard will now check for Diamond components installed in your
  77.     computer.  Click "Next" to proceed.
  78.  
  79. 5.  A dialog box will appear containing the path where InControl Tools 95 will
  80.     be installed.  The default path is:
  81.  
  82.         "C:\Program Files\Diamond"
  83.  
  84.     Select "Next" or change the path as necessary.
  85.  
  86. 6.  The next dialog box selects the installation type.  There are three
  87.     installation types: Minimal, Full and Custom.  They are defined as 
  88.     follows:
  89.  
  90.                 Minimal:        This will install only the Diamond Viper V330
  91.                                 Series Display Driver.
  92.  
  93.                 Full:           This will install both the Diamond Viper V330 
  94.                                 Series Display Driver and InControl 
  95.                 Tools 95.
  96.  
  97.                 Custom:         This will allow installation of either the
  98.                                 Diamond Viper V330 Series Display
  99.                                 Driver or InControl Tools 95.  At the minimum,
  100.                                 the Diamond Viper V330 Series 
  101.                                 Display Driver must be installed during a
  102.                                 first-time installation.
  103.  
  104. 7.  If "Custom" was selected in step 15, a dialog box will appear allowing
  105.     the selection of various items.  Select the items to be installed by 
  106.     clicking on them with the left mouse button.  When finished, click "Next"
  107.     to continue.
  108.  
  109. 8.  At the "Select Files to be copied" dialog box, click "Next" to begin the
  110.     file copying process.
  111.  
  112. 9.  After the files have been copied you will want to click "Finish" in order
  113.     to complete the installation.
  114.  
  115. 10. Windows 95 will ask that the computer be restarted.  Click on "Yes" to
  116.     restart the computer.
  117.  
  118. 11. Once Windows 95 restarts, you will have successfully installed the 
  119.     software for your Diamond Viper V330 Series.  The InControl
  120.     Tools 95 Wizard will then guide you the rest of the way.  Thank you for
  121.     choosing Diamond!
