As anyone in the publishing business will tell you, electronic
publishing is the hot topic. There have been several attempts at
bringing disk-based publications to the PC over the years, most of
them too complex and unwieldy to make any impact. The
magazine-on-a-disk is popular in many areas, and book titles have
begun to migrate to the personal computer, but the software
required to create such publications is expensive and difficult to

For short run publications, putting your newsletter or book on a
diskette can be an economical alternative to traditional,
paper-based printing. And for promotions, your diskette is far less
likely to end up as garbage than would a printed mailing.

NeoBook's easy-to-use graphical interface consists of a floating
tool palette and command bar. To create a publication, you simply
use the mouse to drag out frames to contain text and images.
Command buttons are then added to allow the reader to turn pages,
exhibit additional information, display images, jump to another
section of the publication, etc. Tools are provided which allow
setting font style, colors and screen backgrounds, as well as for
adding rules, titles and other graphical elements. Elements may be
displayed on a single page, or over many pages.


NeoBook links to your favorite text editor (or word processor) and
paint program■so you can use the commands and programs  with which
you are familiar without leaving NeoBook. Once you have placed your
text, any images and page turning command buttons, you simply
compile your publication, name it and copy the resulting EXE
program to a diskette for distribution.
