ABC EASY
Welcome to ABC Easy. This program was designed
specifically to help children learn the alphabet and the
sounds that letters make, while providing hours of enjoyment
through the use of music and 256 color graphics. To start
the program insert the diskette into the appropriate drive,
and then make that drive the active drive. From the root
directory type ABC <ENTER>. The copyright screen will
display followed shortly by the main program screen. The
various modules within ABC Easy can be activated either my
the mouse or the keyboard. To use a mouse, move the mouse
cursor to the button for the desired option and press the
left mouse key. To use the keyboard, press the ALT key in
combination with the underlined letter in the title of the
desired option. The various modules of ABC Easy are:
Big A Little a
F is for Flower
The Alphabet Song
Where Am I
Big A Little a - The program will display a capital
letter on the screen along with three different lower case
letters. Press the number corresponding with the matching
lowercase letter. If successful the program will present a
new letter. Press the <ESC> key to end the game.
F is for Flower - The program will display a letter on
the screen along with three pictures. One of the three
pictures will begin with the displayed letter. Press the
number that corresponds with that picture. If correct the
program will present a new letter and three new pictures.
Press <ESC> to end the game.
The Alphabet Song - The program will play the alphabet
song and display each letter at the appropriate time. A very
useful aid for learning the alphabet! Encourage the child to
sing along with the song. Press <ESC> to return to the menu.
Where Am I - The program will display a letter pair on
the screen (Upper and lower case) along with a picture
beginning with that letter. The child must find that letter
on the keyboard and press it. If successful the program will
present a new letter pair and picture. Pressing <ESC> will
end the game.
Clicking the mouse on the SOUND ON box will toggle the
sound option. If you do not have a mouse press ALT S to
toggle the sound. Note that the ALPHABET SONG option will
play sound even if the sound box has been unchecked.
